UK Techno producer Jamie Anderson debuts on Florian Meindl's FLASH Recordings imprint with his first solo release since relocating to Berlin. Jamie's passion for vintage hardware can be heard throughout his two original tracks Nubu and TX81. Nubu also gets a heavy remix treatment from London's rising star Roberto (Fossil Archive / Fachwerk), and Bielefeld based duo Responder (FLASH / Planet Rhythm) both adding their signature rough analogue flavours to round off the EP.

The first Secluded release of 2017 comes in the shape of two pumping new Secluded jams. 'Beyond Thunder' & 'Witness' are both typical peak time Secluded bangers. This impressive package also features quality remixes by Roberto & Bleak. Roberto is a techno artist from London, who has been releasing great music on the likes of Fachwerk, Arts, Affin and his own imprint Fossil Archive. Bleak is well known for his slick productions, bringing a deep hypnotic style. This Swedish producer, has released a string of successful EP's for Delsin, Deeply Rooted House and more recently his own label Naura Records. It's a pleasure to have both of these guys on board for this release!

Tresor Records is pleased to announce the new reissue of James Ruskin's seminal Point 2 album.

First released in 2000, it marked a fine debut that entrenches the minimal sequences, utilitarian funk and eerie hypnosis found within Ruskin's body of work. As Tresor's relationship with the UK sound grew stronger across the course of the '00s, it was Ruskin, the label owner of Blueprint Records, who played a critical part in this. Throughout the trio of LPs released over that decade, inspirations of the sci-fi minimal Detroit sound lie abundant, rendered through corporeal slammers typical of the UK vein.

Point 2 was the first of Ruskin's trilogy for Tresor, and brought a direct and uncompromising vibrancy to the fore, from the aquatic symphony featured on 'From Over The Edge' to the pinpoint gaze of 'Subject'. Gurning loops beat against alien samples, drained into refined abstractions of pure techno.

Newly remastered and featuring two tracks previously not cut onto vinyl, this upfront and bold classic is set to span dancefloors once again.

James Ruskin - Eight 3

The fifth studio album by @Shedofficial aka René Pawlowitz centers thematically on the Oderbruch region in former East Germany where the producer and DJ grew up and continues to split his time (when not in Berlin.) Both the album and track titles as well as the artwork by Arnim Tölke [Ectoplasma (Oderbruch)] reflect Pawlowitz’s deeply personal associations with the borderland’s marshy landscape, as well as enormous political and historical changes the region underwent as the last Eastern front during World War II – and, later, following the dissolution of the GDR.

The nine tracks on ‘Oderbruch’ are inspired by the intertwined nature of the subjective and historical, which ring through Shed’s idiosyncratic take on breaks, bass, techno, symphonic ventures, ambient and hardcore. But unlike Shed’s previous records, ‘Oderbruch’ incorporates broad pastoral landscapes – left behind and returned to.

Mark Broom is fast becoming as expert at providing a platform for burgeoning artists via his Beard Man label; highlighting talent from the international techno scene (like Avision, Rene Wise or Absent) as he is behind the decks or in the studio. And to close the year, his label showcases another of these: Kmyle.

Kmyle is an energetic artist who has begun to build a strong reputation through his productions and collaborations. A hardened machinist, he delights in bringing this energy to his Live Hardware performances and DJ sets which are calibrated for the dance floor, taking him to clubs and festivals around the world like, Concrete, Rex Club, Razzmatazz, Astropolis (Greece), Arena Berlin, Egg London, Griessmühle and more, plus a recent tour of India and China.

Following a number of highly-received EP releases and an artist album, ‘Northern Landscapes’ on Electric Rescue’s Skryptöm Records, the France-based Kmyle was then signed up to the discerning Clergy Records in 2017, which has so far resulted in two solo EPs and a collaboration with Clergy label boss, Cleric that also boasted a remix from Blueprint’s James Ruskin, earlier in 2019.

This next release sees Kmyle making his Beard Man debut with the ‘Human Flaws EP’, where he delivers his powerful techno sound across four new tracks that burst with heavy drums and tight percussion, proving that Kmyle is undoubtedly an artist to watch.

UNCAGE’s label owner Marco Faraone drops his second album on Rekids, focusing on an unrestricted, unfiltered soundscape inspired by childhood, entitled ‘No Filter’.

Since his initial appearance on Radio Slave’s esteemed imprint in 2018, Italian artist and label boss Marco Faraone has continued to enthuse techno communities across the globe, playing at the likes of Awakenings, Caprices, Tomorrowland and Kappa FuturFestival. With previous releases on Ovum, Drumcode and Be As One, the Tuscany-born artist has garnered the support of Len Faki, Rodhad, Laurent Garnier and many more.

‘Force Deep’ and ‘Iconic’ give the senses a relaxed flush of ecstasy and lofi-esque rhythm, while tracks like ‘Night Ride’, ‘Addiction’ and ‘No Filter’ lean more on a stripped back, beat focused dub techno tip. ‘Frogface’, and ‘Time Equals Eternity’ then flurry with signature drum programming, and otherworldly synth stabs. Finally, ’Trust Me’, propel forward with after dark atmospheres, giving this versatile and luscious album that mainstay place amongst any unique techno set.

Premiere: Other Form + Alternate Current "Exploration II" - Unknown Movements

Roberto (real name: Rob Kirkaldy) is a London based Techno producer, DJ and Remixer. Considered to be one of the most exciting new UK Techno artists in recent years, he combines influences from Detroit and Amsterdam to create his own sound unique to the UK.

As a DJ, he brings a special energy to the dance floor that is the product of many years of dedication to the craft. Never one to let an audience get bored, his sets explore many angles of techno, which has seen him play at some of the most well respected clubs around the world, including fabric in London and both Tresor and Berghain in Berlin. His DJ skills have also made him a popular choice for podcasters, having been called upon to deliver mixes for esteemed shows like the CLR Podcast, Slam Radio and Electric Deluxe.

With an already impressive discography, Roberto has built his production credits with EPs on the likes of Rekids, Fachwerk, ARTS, Solar Phenomena and Obscura, as well as a host of remixes for artists like Jamie Anderson, Roberto Clementi, DJ Rolando and Shinedoe. His own tracks have been remixed by artists such as Steve Rachmad (Sterac), Mike Dehnert, Trevino and Peverelist.

At the beginning of 2015, Roberto launched his own Fossil Archive label. Predominantly a vinyl label (though releases are also available digitally), the ethos of the imprint is that it must not compromise on the sound.

As Roberto said in a recent interview with Data Transmission: “I love the fact that you can hold a piece of music in your hands. They are art pieces in their own right. Music is the product of many years of development; much like a fossil that can be buried deep underground for millions of years, until it is discovered. I wanted to ensure the music is of the highest quality, which means not rushing things.”

Secluded, a new alias created at the beginning of 2012 by Sleaze Records label boss Hans Bouffmyhre. With the aim to explore a new techno vibe, inspired by sounds from Berlin & Detroit, Secluded productions are characterised with a deep pounding beat, softened by dubby synth passages and soundscapes, creating a gloomy atmosphere. With vinyl releases already out on EarToGround & Sleaze Records, including remixes by Jonas Kopp, Markus Suckut, Mike Dehnert & Shifted, big things are expected for the future!
