Embark on an ethereal journey with Second End Records’ inaugural release, as the new entity unveils today “The Next Kingdom” LP, from label-founder Jonnnah.

As a manifest of SER ethos, the Lyon-based Producer’s second personal album is also a pure merging of his own touch: mesmerizing soundscapes, pulsating rhythms, and enchanting synth melodies. From Jonnnah’s intricate layers of instrumentation and melancholic vocals, arise the fragile yet powerful aesthetic encapsulated in the contemporary electronic scene. Boundaries between genres and emotions dissolve through the prism of digital hybridizations, and each track of this twelve-act offering alternately conceal or lay bare what’s deeply rooted in Jonnnah’s soul.

LYL Radio regular @jonnnah gets the premiere treatment today with a swooning trip hop elegy.

Set for release on his @second-end-rec label, ‘The Next Kingdom LP’ offers sensuality and romance in a genre-agnostic style. Big on soundscape, spectral and bruised.

The Lyon native runs the gamut from delicately widescreen bliss-out to gauzy IDM pointillism, and on a smoked-out, downbeat tip, ‘Fundamental Social Unit’ emerges an undeniable highlight.

Paradoxically, embracing the void feels so fulfilling - but isn’t acceptance part of the grief ? We’re all searching for a secret place where inner peace could finally grow from its embryonic shrine.

Much like that uncertain trail, Second End Records charts a course through the soft, dreamy side of electronic music with its upcoming 'Collage' compilation. Designed either for the club or a living room, this ethereal patchwork of 14 tracks is woven from silk-like sound design : Ambient, techno, experimental, IDM and atmospheric dub… All these feathers fuse into the weightless cushion of Jonnnah’s curation. An astonishing line-up composed of andrea_andrea, Box5ive, Cotton Mouth, Doris Dana & Angelina Nonaj, emre girginkaya, Genus Aix, innerinnerlife, Intertoto, ϙue x Comechelet, Lucas Dupuy, Match Fixer, so wet’s water kingdom, Takeo.K and Whylie.

With this new imprint, Second End Records further informs its signature sound: spotlighting cold-yet-heartwarming textures, celestial synths, and volatile rhythms. Chase away the clouds and bask in the sunny spell of “Collage”, available both in CD and digital formats, starting 1 November, 2024.

French producer Pierre Paumier returns as @jonnnah with his new LP What They Left on Second End Records, a wintry blend of dub techno, bass, ambient, and slowed breakbeat textures. Among its standout moments, “Consume Me” drifts from a foggy dub techno haze into an understated downtempo groove, carrying a subtle trip-hop mood that feels both welcoming and quietly mysterious. It plays like an interlude in an open-ended game world - more about wandering through its soft, uncharted spaces than reaching any particular destination.
