RÊVE PARISIEN features four new Rhys Chatham compositions that were performed live at Kassay's exhibition at Art: Concept in Paris in 2010, and loosely functions as an audio catalogue to the exhibition.

RÊVE PARISIEN contains compositions that were both performed live and used as a soundtrack through Kassay’s exhibition. These compositions mark a change in direction for Chatham, who has abandoned the trumpet style he developed in the nineties for a non-distorted, less effects-driven sound that compliments his minimalist compositions and his free jazz training. The LP is packaged in a stunning gatefold with an arced die-cut cover, which was designed by Jacob Kassay in collaboration with Frank Napolski.

For Record Store Day Iko Chérie is releasing a very limited blue glitter cassette which will be available at their Paris Rough Trade show exclusively. Covering dream songs from the Beach Boys, Elia Y Elizabeth, The chiffons and Roky Erickson. All songs were recorded on tape at home by James Hoare (Ultimate Painting, Veronica Falls).

During the past two years of our existence, we’ve been adjusting to a lot of changes via our musical direction. When we started posting music, the nu disco scene was pumping everywhere. Since then we’ve embraced a lot more genres. At moment it’s really hard to say what our sound is, although we will always try to share “sweet” music. We pride ourselves on the fact that some of those tracks were made by mostly unknown producers. We’ve included our favorite freebies from last year, and there are some of 2013 already. We have 40 tracks, so we divided them into two folders. These are available for free download on our Facebook page.
