All of a sudden I found my self in the center of the gathering. A ray of pale light, from above, illuminated the scene. The spectators at the side remained lifeless and waxen like marionettes staring out of the dark with glassy eyes. Just as Landis LaPace held up the baton aloft with an uncanny smile, the bodies in the center started their joyride to 'My Drums’. There was much applause and a yell of delight as the performance continued, and somewhere, as if out of the ground, a warning of 'Don’t Do That’ arose. Driven by an eerie presence, I started moving restlessly, spinning and rocking while greeting strangers sporting a sinister grin. Laughing out loud moderately, occasionally tripping as the appearance of the long-faced jester curiously distorted in the smoky dusk cheering “Bravo, bravo, Landis! Wonderfully acted! Da capo, da capo!“ with my fellow creatures of the night…
