Velvet Currents by Tom Lysar drifts through a lush fusion of Deep House and Ambient Techno, carrying the listener on warm, fluid basslines and silky, atmospheric textures. Inspired by the timeless pulse of the Berlin School, the track blends gentle melodic progressions with immersive pads, deep sub-bass, and hypnotic rhythmic layers.

Its sound flows like an endless tide – smooth, meditative, and deeply emotional – perfect for Organic House and Downtempo playlists. Velvet Currents captures the intimate side of Deep Ambient Techno & House Soundscapes, offering a softer, more reflective mood within the Sacred Frequencies album.

It's been more than a year since UK native BEC joined the Second State roster and although she has been touring regularly with the crew in that time, she has yet to release her first EP. Until now. With the release of her Relentless EP, BEC showcases her enigmatic style in two exceptionally solid tunes that are primed to take on dance floors worldwide. Kicking things off is the title track 'Relentless' and it flawlessly boasts BEC’s approach as both a producer and DJ.

With the groundwork laid on a foundation of robust percussion, a mesmerizing shimmer of arpeggios transport you to a far off cluster of stars while a lush wash of warm pads spawn a vibrant backdrop of enduring scenery. It's the perfect combination of energy and depth, ripe for peak time trips in any kind of environment. Following up on the B-side is 'Nascent' and it's the ideal counterpart to 'Relentless'. Taking a darker, more serious approach, 'Nascent' grabs a tight hold right from the "get go". An infectious rhythm rapidly sets the pace as flickers of cosmic effects and rich stabs drive the energy upward. Soon an eery, yet elated sweeping synth bathes you in an euphoric sense of comfort before it slowly fades away into a deep dark distance.

I'm a fan of the duo from Northern Ireland for a long time and was already really happy that they remixed our Kydus release last year on Terminal M. And now I'm even happier to have the possibility to release 4 originals from James and Lloyd. The reactions I get on the title track 'Argentina' which I used in my Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 are crazy.

Darlyn Vlys’ hit ‘Runner’ was last year’s highlight on Polymath. Reaching the top 10 in it’s genre and gaining support from industry stalwarts, we thought what better way to celebrate than with a fresh batch of remixes.
Heading the pack is label kaiser Third Son, offering a broken beat variation on the theme. The additional vocals, generated through a Roland vocoder, pushes the futuristic concept to the next level.
Following is Correspondant/Permanent Vacation artists, Zombies in Miami. The low slung feel is a welcome addition to the package, and one that suits the early morning sets.
Polymath favourite Anii completes the remix package with a highly playable and energetic take. The acid lead- line compliments the original melody perfectly resulting in a peak-time roller.
