Cardiogram was inspired by the heavy, driving rhythms Kokoro discovered in warehouse raves taking place in the decrepit district of Skid Row, Los Angeles. The track is led by a deep, prominent bass rumble and resonant growls. Fiery synthlines and thoughtful polyrhythms make this track fit right into the LA underground warehouse setting that Kokoro targets.

Kokoro is a techno maker living, producing, and performing in Downtown Los Angeles. Inspired by the city’s burgeoning underground techno scene, hosted in abandoned Skid Row warehouses, Kokoro hides away in his DTLA studio like a mad scientist in a laboratory — laser-focused on breeding mysterious, rhythmic landscapes that build to immense, sub-rattling drops. He aims to create emotional environments with his music - environments that evoke a sense of philosophical curiosity to the listener.

After Micheal Klein’s stunning debut album ‘Snapshot’, it's only logical we celebrate the long player once again with four stellar remixes from a handful of Techno’s best.

Kicking things off is the one and only Dubfire who delivers a rework of ‘Dismantled Structure' unlike anything we’ve heard from him before as he channels the aesthetics of quintessential Dub stylings reminiscent of Deepchord and Echospace fused with a cutting edge, modern approach resulting in an absolute burner that will stand any test of time. Markus Suckut follows with his unique approach on ‘Dirty Daddy’ where heaviness reigns supreme as hefty percussion, hypnotic rhythms and swirling atmospherics culminate into a far flung journey into the vast expanse. Taking a slightly different approach yet never losing the energy, Developer dives further into ethereal spaces with his re-imagining of ‘Flashes In Your Eyes’ where he weaves psychedelic harmonies and mesmerizing grooves into a trance inducing roller perfect for intensely deeper moments. Finalizing the remix package we turn to +plattform, one of Norway’s best Techno artists, who delivers an absolutely gorgeous rendition of ‘So Far To Go’ where abrasive drums and washes of reverb lay the groundwork for a cut where emotion takes center stage creating a beautifully crafted tune that will in equal measure melt hearts and forge unforgettable memories.

Nicole Moudaber kicks up a gear as we march into the year with her first single of 2019 and she's in full on inspiring mode. 'Seeing It Through' is everything we expect from the MOOD maestro, and more; rolling, heavy kickdrum thunder laced with a hypnotic groove that's bends the mind with its off beat bleeps and a universal message in the title. This has everything.

As does 'Common Dreams'; once again unifying and universal, once again infused with a warm driving groove, this one comes with a euphoric twist on the breakdown. Feel phasers set to stun; this one elevates every single soul on the dancefloor in unison.

Anja Schneider’s Sous imprint has fast become a permanent home for Anja’s more experimental productions as well as providing her with the chance to bring some of her favourite artists to the label. In the last two years, we have enjoyed releases from Billy Turner, Madben, Mella Dee, Fort Romeau and most recently Markus Suckut. All of which have collectively bought a diverse palette of music to Sous.

Asio (aka R-Play) is a Parisian based producer who’s career quickly became noted in 2007 after he broke into the French techno scene with his tracks signed to Harthouse, Synewave and Suara. Anja brings this new name to Sous this October with 3 original cuts on his EP ‘Dada’.  Opening things is the title track ‘Dada’. Instantly we’re drawn into a groovy deep bass track with sparse percussion. As the various layers reveal themselves, a sinister energy grows. The track then explodes into life at the drop. ‘Last Day in Space’ is a subtle tribal groove. Swinging off beat hats keep time as the layers of melody and percussion fade into earshot. A track of light and dark where patience is rewarded by a huge payoff. 

Finally, ‘Sol Sol’ employs interesting FX to the drums creating a wonky feel from the off. Once the synths kick in the wonk gets much wonkier!
