Thomas and Tassilo are two brothers from another mother,  better known as the Berlin-based techno duo Pan-Pot these two have been attached at the hip since meeting in their early 20s. 

They’ve released two albums, a compilation series for Mobilee and have quite an extensive back-catalog of EPs. Ahead of their first EP of the year on their label Second State Audio titled 'Voodoo Signs', we chatted about the cultural evolution of dance music as well as why having a “do whatever it takes” attitude is important for growth and how it’s helped them achieve success.

Tampa/St. Petersburg techno artist Bonnie Sue delivers today's Guest Mix.

Bonnie Sue, originally from Dominican Republic, DJ, and creator, was surrounded by music as young as 17 years old when she was the lead singer of a Punk Rock band. Later, in 2013 she discovered the art of 
DJing, performing around her home country of the Dominican Republic. 

While in the DR, she caught the attention of one of the country's most successful promoters Carlos Coll aka Raputan, who began booking her to perform alongside some of Techno's biggest names. With this experience and Carlos' belief in her talents, she saw herself playing alongside such names as Dani Sbert, Spektre, Samuel L Session, Alex Young, and Irregular Synth to name a few. 

From there, her journey led her to the United States in 2015, where she caught the attention of Tampa Bay event promoter t3chn0 Faction and became the main resident of Morph Nightclub formerly located in St Petersburg FL, USA where she has shared the booth with acclaimed artists such as Kaiserdisco, Adriana Lopez, Keith Carnal, Tapefeed, Desna, and Julia Govor in 2019, as well as an opening set for 999999999 in the same year. More recently in 2021 she caught the attention of Fader Events where she became a resident, and since then she has shared booths with Julia Govor once again on February 12th of 2021 and Deraout on March 19th of 2021.

Through rolling, unfiltered kicks; heavy, velvet wheels turning in gravel, a steady momentum prepares an arena for complex, uncompressed layers of sound. The cochlea sends the signals for body response. Seamlessly looped highs pierce through the spine; a single copper wire touches the Vagus nerve. Transfixed in analogue and digital vibrations, giving in to impulse movements, an unexpected and swift break causes an immediate return to consciousness, and restored in optimum cadence.

For our ninth episode of Hjem podcast, we welcome an expert in modular synthesis, Montréal local Mike Larry, a.k.a. Mickael. Mike Larry’s contribution to the local Montréal Techno scene has captured an international audience through his gripping experimental sound production and skillful performance. Known for providing sweeping energy with artful arrangements of carefully selected tracks, many his own, to create a vivid and personal interpretation. Similarly, Mike Larry is celebrated for his ability to facilitate marathon sets, consistently recharging his audience with contained teaser vocals, cryptic synth fragments, and deep kick vitality.
