We are DISCOnnect

Robert, also known as @radscho, was born in Uckermark and has been active in the Dresden scene since 2012.

In his hometown, he is part of the organizing team of Wild in der Region e.V., an association dedicated to party and festival culture in northeastern Germany. In recent years, the association has built stages for the Uckeralm, Oewerall, Letzte Wiese, and Mit Dir Festival.

Since the end of 2018, he has also been part of DISCOnnect, a collective and podcast for all kinds and forms of disco, house, and everything in between. With the @disconnect_podcast, he presents and supports artists who, like him, are dedicated to the disco sound.

As a DJ, his sound is somewhere between Italo Disco, Dark Disco, and Indie Dance. In his sets, you never know what he will play next. He spices up his sound with disco classics and underground edits, making his sets a guarantee for energetic surprises.

#06 LENNAULT – Secret Paradiso Radio Show

Radio Show number seven comes from Hamburg-based Michi Goetting. He has been making music as CIMAS for a year now. As co-initiator of the party series Let The Drums Speak, he has already organized several daytime events and the one or other club night. He is also a member of the Hamburg online radio [sic]nal, where he regularly hosts shows. The style of the DJ and producer, who just recently made his debut release with the single "May" on the Leipzig label Vaya Records, is very diversified due to the many influences from his musical past as a member of a live band and never comes to a rest. The mix of Disco, House and Indie Dance elements keep the sets of CIMAS more than interesting and show a great musical flexibility and bandwidth, for which it is worth to listen and dance longer. We are blessed to have him on board. Enjoy listening this one our mix.

About four years ago, @sinamin_sound embarked on her Love Family journey in Dresden, sharing her music with us on multiple occasions. Along the way, she started various other musical endeavors, with the @disconnect_podcast collective and most recently with @rebelliondertraumer. However, her paths continually crossed with the Love Foundation; love seems to be an inescapable force in her life! A heartfelt thank you for sharing your music with us! 🫶🏼

🎶How do you express love through your music?
As a DJ, I express love through music by curating songs that resonate deeply with the heart. I carefully select lyrics and melodies that speak to the soul. This 'Love Cast' spans across decades and genres. This mix includes a variety of love songs, some admittedly cheesy, but all celebrating love in its myriad forms – from joyous to melancholic, encompassing both love for others and self-love. My aim is to share these universal emotions of love that make life not just beautiful but thrilling.

🎶What's the most profound lesson about love that you've learned?
Over time, I've learned that love can be shown and felt in many different ways. Misunderstandings arise when love is shown in diverse ways, and that can be tough. I've found generous understanding, humor and light-heartedness to be essential in bridging these gaps, even though this can feel like „work“ sometimes. The key is in active listening and empathy. Love is about adapting to others' needs and their love languages and meeting them halfway. Being loved by everyone isn't necessary (and impossible), but I deeply value the love from the people I've chosen to be in my life and who matter to me.

GC096 - Ronald KOON 🇩🇪 

Born in East Germany, Ronald KOON started DJing in 2007. Later he increasingly devoted himself to disco and electronic sounds from 1970s to 1980s and began producing his own music. 

Ronald's sets, which are heavy on edits and presented with eclectic energy, are a mixture of classic and contemporary disco and house. The varied repertoire between jackin', soulful, funky and a touch of UK is always driving, exciting, danceable, always good for a surprise, full of heart and never far from the great voices, grooves, and melodies of the disco era. 

His often avant-garde and mostly tongue-in-cheek outfits round off Ronald's presence behind the decks to a lasting experience. Ronald KOON's releases on smaller international disco and house labels have already received some attention in the scene.

Hailing from London, Sunni D is a truly exciting DJ with a contagious excitement for music. Constantly inspired by a multitude of genres and sounds, Sunni effortlessly merges the contemporary with the modern, blending together organic grooves with grittier electronic rhythms to create a journey for dancers full of emotion and catharsis.
