Like a rare strain of sonic mycelium, Mushroom Funk spreads across continents, genres, and minds with the hallucinatory richness of a magic mushroom trip.

Born from a chance connection through mentor Osunlade, the partnership between Flip and Inkswel grew from their debut Early in the AM into a full-blown collaboration, even before they ever met in person. Their bond was cemented in 2025, leading to this bold, boundary-pushing project.

Rooted in their shared love of hip hop, house, and soul, Mushroom Funk is a kaleidoscope of lush textures, raw lo-fi grooves, and infectious club energy. The album features an all-star lineup including Life on Planets, Reggie B, Willie P, Leonard Charles, Rdomain, and Erin Buku, each bringing their unique voice to the mix.

Visually guided by the psychedelic artwork of Michael Rafaj and released on Feedasoul Records, Mushroom Funk is music without borders: soulful, global, and impossible to pin down.

Mix Theory 004 - Rio Tashan

Definitly one of my favorite rides of the 2025 summer. Not gonna lie, I was quite nervous in the beginning. Tugged in between the trees, good sound, lovely lights and a fantastic group of people standing on the other side of the booth. That felt good and special, and got me a little nervous at the same time. Just had 1,5 hour but managed to squeeze in a good variety of tunes. Started with a gentle touch but realised I needed some more energy and quickly found my way to some more heavier/deeper stuff (or at least heavy for my taste). After that I found a way for some more energetic uplifting rhythms and finally ended it all with a very soft landing.
I think I described it well enough, but if you can think of a better description, I am all ears after you have listened to the mix :)

energy, groove-laden selections have made him a staple in Berlin’s thriving club
scene. Blending classic house grooves with a modern edge, he captivates
dancefloors with no fear of crossing genre boundaries. His performances span
Berlin’s iconic Sisyphos, HÖR and Renate, as well as international venues in Tbilisi,
Romania, Spain, and Vietnam.

As the head of Flirt Records and host of a monthly show on RBL Radio, Mystigrix
champions contemporary electronic music. His productions, marked by percussive
rhythms and heavy beats, have appeared on acclaimed labels such as Bar25,
Monki's &Friends, and Thirty Years Records. With a proven track record on both
stage and in studio, Mystigrix cemented himself as a sought-after force in the
international electronic music scene.

By the way, Mystigrix is pronounced [ mis.ti.gʁi ], the x is silent.
