Toby Davis is a music producer and DJ from the hometown of Fenjiu, living quietly in Chang'an. He is a member of the bass label SOURCE. His creations and performances carry a particular mystery while facilitating boundless dialogues across different cultural backgrounds. Whether it's the gloomy sub-bass echoing through the underground passages of London, the tribal sounds of Durban in South Africa, or the Eastern charm of jade falling onto a plate, he always finds breakthroughs that bring surprises to his audience.
His EP Locked in Room and single Jiǔ Shén Zhòu have received promotional support from the well-known bass channel BlueDollarBillz. His collaboration with Brazilian rap mogul AKA AFK represents a side of him that is outwardly calm but rich in dark vitality. His music has appeared in compilations from renowned labels such as Mavericks, Seippelabel, Cyanide System, and ÖÖÖ, and he has released mixtapes on prominent radio stations like Sleepy Radio, Fangci Fever, and Cloak. He actively engages in the content output of club music.
