Kazakhstan born and raised in the UAE, Kirill Zhan loves to experiment with sound, mixing old
school tracks with modern digitalised sounds. Inspired by complex and intelligent music, Kirill
has proven to be a very versatile artist that can deliver everything from super fast-paced techno
to avant-garde bass.
As one of the founding members of the influential collective Secta, Kirill has played an
instrumental role in fostering a sense of unity and exploration within Dubai's underground music
community. Through his thoughtful curation, he has contributed to the collective's growing
reputation.
He’s also the co-founder of Moist Paper Party, an anti-party that takes place in unconventional
venues from Indian restaurants to forgotten clubs in the old part of Dubai.

For our 207th Select session, we are bringing in Dea, a UAE-based Italian DJ and co-founder of Dubai’s techno collective Secta - a driving force in the city’s underground dance music scene. Earlier in 2023, Dea launched Secta’s record label, aiming to spotlight MENA-based electronic artists from different backgrounds and showcase their talent regionally and globally. 

Featuring her signature deep hypnotic rolling melodies, electro-infused beats and kinky basslines, Dea’s dynamic hour-long set for Select is packed with high energy, promising to keep you grooving till the last minute featuring the likes of Chlär, Toobris, Franco Alesso and Modem.

For our fifteenth episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host Saudi artist and long time Secta member Anthony Nordge. Ali aka Anthony indulges in dissonance, deep hypnotic textured techno and resonates with deep bleepy sounds. He is the founder of Friction, a new fresh underground party, adding an important step to the small Saudi scene. 

In this set Anthony delivers a slower hypnotic, bleepy and trippy mix that will take you on a more cerebral journey.

For our seventeenth episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host Palestinian Jordanian artist Zmaili. Founder of Concrete Record Label, Onion Soup party series and Mass club in Amman, Zmaili is a key figure that aims to grow the regional techno scene pushing and nourishing local talent through his platforms. He is also realising soon his second EP on Concrete record label.

For our nineteenth episode of Secta Sessions we are hosting Palestinian artist Mah Mood. Resident at Kabareet and Phi Garden, they are rising from Haifa's underground Palestinian music scene.

Drawn to hypnotic sounds of both techno and old-school house, Mah Mood's artistic exploration is a dynamic blend that provokes and ignites the dancefloor. Their sets reflect their queer identity, pushing boundaries and crafting an immersive sonic experience through an experimental approach.

For our twentieth episode of Secta Sessions we are hosting Syrian artist Elayn. Aleppo born and now based in Berlin, he is a multidisciplinary artist, DJ and electronic music producer. Disciplined as an architect, he brings his sensibility and attention to detail to his music and art.

For him the dance floor is more than a space—it's his sanctuary where he transcends trauma and draws strength from its all-embracing inclusivity, a spirit he channels into his art and beliefs. His DJ sets are tribal and rhythm-driven, pulsing with deep emotion, inviting everyone to experience his sonic journey.
