Secta Sessions

For our forth episode we invited Tbilisi based music producer and Dj Melina Blanco. Originally from Costa Rica, her productions and performances explore electronic music that range in different styles, some are techno, ambient, breakbeat and electro. 

In this set she explores raw techno mixed with hypnotic beats with an overall industrial feel to it.

Secta Sessions 004 - Melina Blanco

For our fifth episode we have Vault Sessions resident Lobster. This amazing high energy / groovy set was recorded live at Secta on the 29th of October. 

Dutch DJ/Producer Lobster is one of the finest examples of the emerging rolling and high energy techno scene. As a Vault Sessions resident (our favourite event in Amsterdam) he has been tearing up the dancefloor with his relentless grooves.

Secta Sessions 005 - Lobster Live 29/10/22

For our sixth episode we got back to our resident Dea. This high energy closing set was recorded live at Secta x Bassiani on the 17th of December.

In this dancefloor worthy set, Dea manipulates high energy techno with her quirky unique track selection, rolling overlaps, and bright fun remixes that creates a constant groove that is entirely addictive.

Secta Sessions 006 - SECTA X BASSIANI - Dea Live 17/12/22

For our seventh episode of Secta Sessions we have the super young Lysander from the Ruhr-Area in Germany. At only 21 years old, he released his first EP (Fatal Fusion Vol 01) which got supported by big names from the scene (DJ Heartstring , JKS and many others).Definitely a young talent to watch out! His influences come from the 2000s techno tribal era mixed with the new faster hypnotic sounds. Enjoy this high quality intelligent groovy mix from Lysander.

For our eight episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host a regional talent from Bahrain: Sudz. Initially started 6 years ago as a drum & bass Dj, he recently has been drawn into techno. 

Although he has dabbled in music production, Sudz remains a DJ at heart and is quickly building a reputation for his vigilant crate digging and layered  dancefloor focused sets. His sounds remain on the boundaries between chillingly hypnotic and speedy grooves all under a relentless 4/4 drum line.

For our ninth episode of Secta Sessions we have a more hypnotic approach with Gaston , a Munich-based DJ and co-founder of Casual Tunes. Gaaston is skilled at crafting hypnotic, energetic and surrealistic soundscapes that will transport you to another dimension.

For our tenth episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host new talent and young Secta resident Baby B. Greatly influenced by her English and Spanish roots, Baby B developed a unique quirky sound that combines groovy "booty-shaking" cuts and euphoric fast-paced tracks that melts genres. Her style is focused on high energy and all things cheeky.

With a hefty music collection and an undeniable urge to make people dance, this latin percussion infused set represents her character and her contribution to Secta perfectly.  Enjoy this high quality set by Baby B.

For our eleventh episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host long time friend and MiZa Radio curator Karam Toubba. He crafted a highly hypnotic oriented set that will take you on a cerebral techno journey.

A very active member of the music scene in Dubai since 2003, Karam Toubba developed a strong mix of musical influences far from mainstream trends & fashionable sounds. His growth of his fanbase is all thanks to his persistence in maintaining his position in boundary-less expansion with music & radical self expression on the dancefloor.

Karam's latest work with MiZa Radio has been essential to foster a sense of unity in the region's music scene, helping DJs to showcase their sound and ensuring visibility for them in the digital space. He also mentors beginning DJs & helps to support DJs who don’t own industry standard equipment to practice.

For our twelfth episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host Georgian artist Akkai. Surrounded by a diverse and dynamic music scene, he found inspiration in the sounds echoing through the streets of his hometown.

For our thirteenth episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host Egyptian artist Marwan. A young DJ and uprising producer, Marwan developed a deep passion for techno and its wide selection of sub-genres, from Detroit to grooves and industrial. 

Today Marwan focuses more on delivering fresh mixes jumping between hypnotic and dancefloor driven groovy techno that match seamlessly with our Secta sound.

For our fourteenth episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host Colombian artist REDACTED. Recently relocating to Dubai, REDACTED journey into dance music started at an early age. Surrounded by various musical influences from Miami and Colombia, he developed his love for the classic sounds of techno such as hardgroove, hypnotic and more. 

Giving it his own spicy interpretation, this set delivers peak time energy all the way.

For our fifteenth episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host Saudi artist and long time Secta member Anthony Nordge. Ali aka Anthony indulges in dissonance, deep hypnotic textured techno and resonates with deep bleepy sounds. He is the founder of Friction, a new fresh underground party, adding an important step to the small Saudi scene. 

In this set Anthony delivers a slower hypnotic, bleepy and trippy mix that will take you on a more cerebral journey.

Berlin based but he's an integral part of Concrete Amman with his residency and curation pushing underground techno in the region. Presenting a great selection, this set that is characterised by complex jungle rhythmic patterns, textural synths and driving groovy kicks.

For our seventeenth episode of Secta Sessions we are happy to host Palestinian Jordanian artist Zmaili. Founder of Concrete Record Label, Onion Soup party series and Mass club in Amman, Zmaili is a key figure that aims to grow the regional techno scene pushing and nourishing local talent through his platforms. He is also realising soon his second EP on Concrete record label.

For our eighteenth episode of Secta Sessions we are hosting OrL3v. A Palestinian-Syrian Dj based in Germany and founder of Mondaydelay: a collective fuelled by the vibrant energy of Berlin and Magdeburg, inspired by creativity and innovation.

OrL3v creates immersive experiences on his sets, influenced by various sub genres within his music style. His passion lies in transmitting energy and emotion through sound, driven by the motivation to create and share blending themes of warmth and personal resilience.

For our nineteenth episode of Secta Sessions we are hosting Palestinian artist Mah Mood. Resident at Kabareet and Phi Garden, they are rising from Haifa's underground Palestinian music scene.

Drawn to hypnotic sounds of both techno and old-school house, Mah Mood's artistic exploration is a dynamic blend that provokes and ignites the dancefloor. Their sets reflect their queer identity, pushing boundaries and crafting an immersive sonic experience through an experimental approach.

For our twentieth episode of Secta Sessions we are hosting Syrian artist Elayn. Aleppo born and now based in Berlin, he is a multidisciplinary artist, DJ and electronic music producer. Disciplined as an architect, he brings his sensibility and attention to detail to his music and art.

For him the dance floor is more than a space—it's his sanctuary where he transcends trauma and draws strength from its all-embracing inclusivity, a spirit he channels into his art and beliefs. His DJ sets are tribal and rhythm-driven, pulsing with deep emotion, inviting everyone to experience his sonic journey.

Secta Sessions 020 - Elayn

For our twenty first episode of Secta Sessions we are hosting AMIR YAR, an Iranian DJ and Producer based in Dubai / Tbilisi. Since 2016 he's an active member of the techno scene and he's mainly focused on rhythmic and experimental sounds.

During his career in Georgia, he became very close to the Georgian underground culture by performing his sets at venues such as the legendary KHIDI club, TES club, Cafe-Gallery, BUDE Kutaisi and other venues that have increased his motivation to push for what he loves.

For our twenty second episode of Secta Sessions we are hosting Mohamad Kafarsoussa, a Berlin based Lebanese DJ and Producer. Renowned for his unique blend of bass-heavy techno and experimental soundscapes, his work embodies a captivating mix of chaos and visionary thinking. 

As a co-founder of No More Noise, Mohamad Kafarsoussa is dedicated to nurturing a community that embraces experimental and avant-garde electronic music. His presence is further solidified through numerous performances as well as collaborations at known European clubs, such as Tresor and Radion.

For our twenty third episode of Secta Sessions we are hosting Rose-End, a Dubai based DJ and Producer. Active since 2008 at a very young age, he's known for blending eclectic sounds, between minimal house, electro and techno. He runs his own event series Jack, and curates Flanger, a YouTube channel featuring interviews with electronic music artists.
