Representing groovy, percussion-driven techno like few others can, we are delighted to present a podcast by Syxxt and Glukkon Records co-founder Ketch for episode 193. The romanian DJ and producer lives and breathes groove, sporting a clean and minimalistic, puristic approach to the genre. With releases on lables such as BCCO or Room Trax, he has proven himself to be a key player in the new groove movement sweeping dancefloors across Europe and beyond.

Taking over the show this week, elusive German producer and Vault Sessions / BCCO resident DJ Phil Berg pulls out the big guns and vibes-avalanching blends for what can be called a proper feast in sound. Drum-fuelled tribal grooves, rugged early house manoeuvres, possessed machine funk, Berg runs the hoodoo down like a thrill-deprived stuntman, eager to pack the world’s whole field of energies in just two hours of music. The result is no short of breath-taking, sharp as a knife and well, exhaustingly gratifying.

For our fifth episode we have Vault Sessions resident Lobster. This amazing high energy / groovy set was recorded live at Secta on the 29th of October. 

Dutch DJ/Producer Lobster is one of the finest examples of the emerging rolling and high energy techno scene. As a Vault Sessions resident (our favourite event in Amsterdam) he has been tearing up the dancefloor with his relentless grooves.

Gwo Ka is music born in Guadeloupe and stands for big drum. It is the union of music, dance, and spirit. 
Two drummers are playing a specific rhythm as the base. The “Makè”, the third drummer, is placed at the center to follow, feel and whisper any of the dancers gestures. He matches the rhythm and energy of the dancers, becoming their shadow, and establishing a real dialogue between them. 
With my project I want to translate the rhythms of Gwo Ka in every upcoming mix. 
There are seven specific rhythms.
This one is "Mennde", dedicated to celebration and escape.

Kashpitzky joins for DifferentSound Podcast #185.

Growing up in Tel-Aviv, Kashpitzky was etching out his musical path as a guitar player in a metal-core band. At some point though, he traded amplifiers for drum machines and really turned on the heat. In order to complete a formal musical education in sound design, Kashpitzky relocated himself to Berlin and graduated from the SAE Institute. He is one of those DJs who you can’t clearly pigeonhole in terms of sound. Always changing, always banging, he has a track for every occasion, letting even extended sets never get boring. His unique definition of techno is perhaps best exemplified in his energetic, deep yet groovy productions, often combining broken beats with organic textures. In this regard, it is worth noting his release permanently on Shlomi Aber’s Be As One imprint, MindTrip, Olympian, and more established labels worldwide.

We are super excited to present the 92nd podcast featuring Orphic Resident, Beste Hira!

Beste Hira is an adventurous, strong willed and motivated person now based in Amsterdam with Istanbul as hometown. These aspects have brought her to the position she stands as an artist today. Music has been a lifelong priority. She started at the Mersin Fine Arts High School Music Department where she studied classical piano and cello. She continued her professional music career at Ondokuz Mayıs University where she has successfully graduated from the Department of Music.

Her career as a dj/producer started soon after and is why she decided to move to Amsterdam. She favors the ethnic, groovy and dark side of techno that drives you through the night. Her broad education of music can be heard in her music productions where she meticulously experiments withs sounds to produce her signature sound. In her performances she has a determined mindset to create a complete sensory experience

Duplicity 092 | Beste Hira

Full recording of my 5 hour semi-marathon in a secret location in Berlin two weeks ago. What a vibe it has been, this intimate space and excellent soundsystem really have something more. 

This set is a journey through my influences at the moment, having time to pass by a lot of different emotions and energies, hope you will feel it as much as I did.

Thanks again to my friend @mzrmusic for the trust and to all the dancers for the electric vibe throughout the set, it means a lot to me !
