Biography : 
Member of the sound system FRENETEK, Dj Son discovered electronic music in the beginning of the Nineties in a free party. Already attracted by the "hard" sound in the various musical currents like hardrock, hip/hop music etc... he naturally moved towards the hardcore. The purchase of a Thunderdome tape was a revelation for him, he felt in love for Dutch sound and went to his first Thunderdome in Holland in 1996.

He decided to mix in 1996 and joined the collective SHK dedicated to hardcore music.
Since that time, he shared this style in divers places : free parties, teknivals, clubs (Le Gibus, L'Acropol, Le Ritz, La Locomotive (La Machine), Le Bus Palladium, le Red Light, le Petit Bain, le Batofar, le Trabendo...), bars and also in many Rave parties : Shadow Raves 1 & 2, Hardcore Millenium, Art of the Core, Out of Time, Earthquake, Hard Christmas, Army of Hardcore, Ultra Hardcore, Hard League, Hard Mind, Ovni Trip, Born to Be Hard, Hard Parade, R.A.W, History of Hardstyle, HardKoncept, at the Techno Parade 2008 and 2009 (truck Sonovente), 2010 (truck Trip & Teuf), 2015 (truck Festimove), 2017 (truck Hardpulz), at Black 2011 and 2012 in Belgium, Qontinent 2012 (Belgium), Fuzion, Coreuption, Excess Overdrive.

The Q-dance, B2S & Art of Dance events will give him the desire to mix hardstyle, softened form of gabber. So, he performs as well in hardstyle and hardcore music.
His integration in TRIP & TEUF (FESTIMOVE) shows his absolut love in "Hard" music.

In 2012, he is very proud to be part of a mixed CD from his crew called «Dedicated to HarderStyles» which be sold with success in Europe (more than 4000 ex.).

In the beginning of 2019, he joins The Harmony Agency.

À ses débuts, il s'impose progressivement dans les raves party, les clubs, ainsi que dans différentes soirées événementielles grâce à son style hybride mêlant Tekno et Hardcore, le tout revisité avec sa touche personnelle unique, le différenciant des autres artistes. 
Son approche musicale audacieuse lui permet d’attirer l'attention des amateurs de sonorités underground.
Au fil du temps, il peaufine son art et se découvre une passion profonde pour l'univers dit "Gabber".
Il décide alors de se consacrer à la production early hardcore, qu'il façonne à son image, ajoutant des sonorités authentiques et des rythmes percutants.
Grâce à son énergie contagieuse et ses sets puissants, il gagne rapidement en notoriété, attirant l'attention au-delà des frontières françaises, sur les scènes de Belgique et du Pays-Bas, véritables bastions de la culture Gabber, s'imposant ainsi auprès de nombreux artistes déjà reconnus dans le milieu.

Early in his career, he gradually established himself at rave parties, clubs, and various event venues thanks to his hybrid style, blending Tekno and Hardcore, revisited with his unique personal touch, setting him apart from other artists.
His bold musical approach attracted the attention of underground sound enthusiasts.
Over time, he refined his craft and discovered a deep passion for the so-called "Gabber" universe.
He then decided to devote himself to early hardcore production, which he shaped in his own image, adding authentic sounds and punchy rhythms. Thanks to his contagious energy and powerful sets, he quickly gained notoriety, attracting attention beyond France's borders, on the stages of Belgium and the Netherlands, true bastions of Gabber culture, thus establishing himself alongside many already recognized artists in the scene.
His unique and singular productions also resonate in Colombia and many other international countries, fond of his atypical melodies.
His creativity, technique, and passion make Why T a name to follow in the Hardcore Gabber scene.

This deejay got interested in house music when he bought his first techno/trance tape. After that he soon broadened his boundaries to real hardcore. After 8 months of hard, sweaty work at newspaper rounds, he was able to buy his first set of spinning wheels at the age of 14. And that was the birth of deejay Potato. As a regular visitor of the legendary route 66, B-fifty two and Platte Zaol, he also was throwing little parties himself in several different clubs in the neighbourhood. He started to perform more frequently, with highlights of that time like Raving Nightmare (Entangled in Chaos), Reversed and several others. 
In the year 2005 he got another chance at showing his skills at Raving Nightmare, this time in the legendary Tarm Center in Frechen/Köln (Germany). From then on he keeps growing and earns his spots at numerous events in he south of the Netherlands. His sets leave such marks, that he’s asked frequently to be a regular deejay at many events. 
All kinds of mixes are floating on the world wide web, in all styles you want to hear. One thing’s for sure: Potato is the man who knows how to make the music into a story and simply knows what the crowd likes!
