Approaching its 20th year, Anjunadeep has become “one of dance music’s ultimate tastemaker labels” (Billboard). Known for breaking global artists like Ben Böhmer, Lane 8, Tinlicker and Dusky, the label has a reputation as “an A&R hotbed” (Resident Advisor).

Now, the label launches its new imprint titled ‘Anjunadeep Explorations’ this July. ’The ‘Explorations’ imprint is an evolution of the much-loved Various Artist EP series of the same name, which spanned 25 editions between 2016-2023 on Anjunadeep. Responsible for bringing through now-mainstay acts to the label such as Ben Böhmer, CRi, Luttrell, Rezident and Simon Doty, the series has also featured underground talents like Theo Kottis, Sam Goku and Gacha Bakradze. The label will focus on unearthing the next generation of electronic music talent, as well as introducing established acts to the Anjuna roster.

The label’s first release is an exclusive 12” sampler, comprising six tracks from artists signed to the label including Chris Luno, Klur and Marley Carroll, with individual digital releases to follow. The vinyl is a limited run of hand-stamped white label vinyl.

A DJ with a distinct preference for dark and moody sounds, with the occasional indulgence into flat out agressive sounds, Uncut Anger has been active since 2001.

As a member of the now defunct Utreg Massive, Uncut Anger was known for the graveyard shifts with hard as nails drum & bass sets, incorporating the occasional hardcore techno sounds when the mood was right. His technical prowess behind the decks earned him gigs alongside the likes of Technical Itch, Limewax and Evol Intent.

As a counterbalance he anonymously donned the Beast of Legend moniker which allowed him to express his love for the deeper sounds in drum & bass. Independently from the Uncut Anger alias, this also got him appreciation from peers unaware of his angry moniker.

As years passed Uncut Anger's attention broadened, causing him to listen to other sounds and changing his studio equipment. No longer feeling the need to fit in a box or niche or feeling the pressure to score gigs, this allowed him to play just whatever he feels like. However, darkness is ever right around the corner.

I was a working DJ/producer 1996-2001 (UK). Lover of electronic music since 1990. I use this site to share some of my mix tapes and the best mixes from other DJs that I've accumulated over the years. This is purely for entertainment, sharing and promoting good music.

I did produce some tracks back in 1998-2000 but only released a couple of EPs with DJ Relay under the names Low Profile & Two-Step2. We are getting back into production again as of 2020 and will be re-releasing some of our old and new tracks going forward, find our tracks on Juno, Beatport, Amazon, etc.

Battery are forging new sonic pathways but they are by no means newcomers to the scene. They have produced under various guises for the last 20 years and have released music on some of the biggest labels in Dance music.

 

Battery's stripped back to the roots arrangements and high production finesse caught the ear of Drum & Bass label bosses across the board. This resulted in releases on Spearhead, Renegade Hardware, ProgRam and Hospital. Goldie's iconic label - Metalheadz - has become the home of the duo after the release of two successful EPs.

 

 

Their live sets are like their music: a forward-thinking futurism that encapsulates the genre's unmistakable roots and foundation. Under their previous guises, Battery have toured across Asia, America and Europe and have laid down bass-heavy live sets in clubs and festivals across the UK
