@heelsandsouls Recordings are back with another huge reissue, following the success of their 'Special Touch - Garden of Life' release last year. This time they bring us an EP of digger delights from Frankfurt’s under the radar production trio of Manfred Holz, Michael Buchner and Jürgen Blömke. Operating under two different aliases, on the A is The Soundstealers’ revered '80s electro nugget, 'Steal It An Deal It'. The flip brings to light the obscure acid chugger ‘Amazonia’, complete with a balearic rework from London’s tropical twosome Good Block.

We are very happy to premiere the A1 'Steal It An' Deal It (The Sahara Dance Mix)' before the release of the full EP next week!

In this track, the cultural mix and the influences of Berlin's electronic scene meet the experimental rhythms of Brazil. The voice of Berliner artist Kotoe and the beats of Brazilian producer Meraki come together in this cover-style version of one of Brazil's most famous songs.

The remix was inspired by the song "Tic Tic Tac", a composition by Braulino Lima that became better known when it was released by the Amazonian group Carrapicho, becoming the number one hit in various parts of the world in 1996.

__The Artists:

_Kotoe: @kotoek 
She was born in Japan, spent a great part of her life in Brazil and currently lives in Berlin. The cultural mix and the influences from the Berliner electronic scene are the result of her musical work where she takes textures from the Asiatic culture, South American sounds and mixes with dark beats and her own voice.

Her arrival in Berlin in 2015 made her fell in love with electronic music and to get involved and active in several collectives. Kotoe already presented herself in countries as: Japan, Chile, Germany, Croatia, Austria, Portugal and she was included in line ups from festivals such as Garbicz, Katzensprung, Moyn Moyn, Artlake and Melt.

Pedro Sugiura was born in Brazil and has his musical base inspired by the rich diversity of rhythms from his continent, always seeking to transmit this energy to the dance floors. Currently living in Amsterdam, Meraki has a unique identity and a very energetic sound.

Nesta track a mistura cultural e as influências da cena eletrônica de Berlin se encontram com os ritmos experimentais do Brasil. A voz da artista berlinense Kotoe e as batidas do produtor brasileiro Meraki se unem em uma versão cover de uma das músicas mais famosas dos anos 90 no Brasil.

Pedro Sugiura nasceu no Brasil e tem sua base musical inspirada pela rica diversidade de ritmos de seu continente, buscando sempre transmitir essa energia para as pistas de dança. Atualmente morando em Amsterdam, Meraki tem uma identidade única e apresenta um som de muita energia.

Since its inception in 2013, Mawimbi founders have been expanding their knowledge of lesser known and rather undiscovered musical territories thanks to chance encounters with likeminded DJs/producers, who were kind enough to put them onto a good amount of under-the-radar tropical gems.

Launched in 2017 and named after Mawimbi's bi-monthly radio show on Rinse France, the "Radio Mawimbi" compilation series is dedicated to unearthing vintage tropical gems in the form of free download edits and remixes by some of the most seasoned diggers and promising rookies of the tropical-enthusiast community!

From deep, drum-heavy workouts to essential Guinea Bissau melancholy, through remixed Beninese afrofunk and vintage South African kwaito, this second installment features the editing and remixing works of Yeahman (Frente Bolivarista), LSD (Love Saves The Day), Déni Shain (Antagana Records), Umoja, Mawimbi, ATW (Around The World), Calisto, Turbo Boom-Boom (TBB) and Midnight Ravers.

Hipnosis (on some records also named Hypnosis) was a successful Italian techno-disco band in the early '80s, born in Parma and founded by Stefano Cundari. It also featured Paul Sears and Ugo Solenghi. At the beginning of the year 1982 Angelo Bergamini from Kirlian Camera joined the band. Cundari had the idea of covering the song "Pulstar" by Vangelis for the label Memory Records. They recorded the song together with Anfrando Maiola from the group Koto. In the ensuing period all of the original members left the project and Bergamini turned down the proposition to stay as a composer and musician of the new line-up and decided to leave the sixty date world tour. At the same time as Hipnosis was developing, Paul Sears officially joined Kirlian Camera's new line-up. In 1987 Cundari released another 7"/12" ("Droid") under the Hipnosis banner. Soon after he passed away. At this point the official Hipnosis-Story ends. In 1991 a CD anthology entitled "Hypnosis" was released. In 1992 a certain Humphrey Robertson released a single and an album for ZYX Records under the name Hypnosis. On both releases the font-logo which can be seen on the "Hypnosis"-CD was used, so it seems that the label tried to re-animate Hypnosis with other musicians. The last sign of life of this replica was another 12" record in 1994. In 2006 Angelo Bergamini recorded the Song "Kaczynski Code" for the Kirlian Camera album "Coroner's Sun" under the name Hipnosis Italy. In 2016, for the Greatest Hits & Remixes compilation, ZYX mingled original Hipnosis tracks with selections by Humphrey Robertson as well as yet another Hypnosis, the seemingly unrelated Hypnosis from Canada.

Respect for essence and naturalness are fundamental aspects for the constant enhancement that Seed Selector has been achieving. Since 2019, the DJ and producer has been exploring more melodic and progressive House textures, adding references from Breakbeat, Funk and even Miami Bass. Thus, he generated a musical signature that not only honors his roots, but establishes them in the frenetic electronic music scene. Labels such as Cocada Music, Levels Rec, Namata, Subliminar and Warung Records are already on the producer's curriculum, as well as collaborations with Leo Janeiro and L_cio. On his return from activities, visits to clubs such as Beehive, Chaos, D-Edge and Warung Beach Club naturally took place, consecrating him as a new promise.
