There are the species of scales who space from a tonic value. Like the (dor-fri) mode on Dm where the tonal value E is missing. You can simple achieve this feeling using all the notes except E. So it works off the mood. I can hear a missing scale too.

Beatski is a Melbourne Drum n Bass / Jungle DJ who has played a pivotal part in the local Electronic Music scene for nearly 30 years. 

His passion for rave music and DJing started after attending a warehouse party at Global Village called Panic. Since that day, weekly record shopping at Soundboy Records and warehouse rave parties became a ritual. And, local DJs such as Atom One, Trooper, and Sidewinder, and UK legends Kenny Ken and Grooverider were fundamental influences to Beatski’s selection of music, and journey style of DJing. 

It was in 96, Beatski started DJing at illegal rave parties at influential nights such as The Dark Half and Eclipse. This is where he championed the emerging UK Jungle and Drum and Bass sound. Supporting UK acts such as Fabio, Matrix, Fierce, Trace, Bad Company, dBridge, Doc Scott, Andy C, Micky Finn, Dom and Roland, Kenny Ken, Randall, just to name a few.

This year marks 20 years of Beatski being a long time member of the PBS FM family, originally on a show called Better By The Pound, and then on The Blend alongside Bevin Campbell and Emelyne, where he co-hosts the show and is resident DJ.

In a Beatski DJ set, expect to hear a unique blend of up-front deep rolling soulful Drum n Bass, or a flashback of tearing classic 90’s Jungle.
