Guitarist and riff-writer. I have been playing since 1997 and I am self-taught. My 'hey-day' was between 2001-05 when I was in Vizulize This with my 2 brothers. Starting from a love of heavy metal and no teachings of how to play heavy metal, we self-taught ourselves with endless hours in the studio, getting things wrong and starting over. The great thing with having brothers on guitar, bass and drums! The songs from VT on my profile are therefore quite obviously old. In those days MySpace was the internet site of choice so only a handful of songs ever got on the web, so better late than never that these songs appear.
My YouTube account holds some studio videos of my 2nd band, Beyond Heresy. Again me and my 2 brothers appeared in BH, Rich this time on vocals. Unfortunately life and health got in the way of this band ever making a serious attempt. The music was pretty much an extension of the Vizulize This era.
At the moment I'm in a band called Last Order and the signs after a few months of rehearsals are good. The music is rather less extreme from what I have done previously but after a long time out it's just good to be back playing in the studio and writing songs again. I do have ambitions of writing heavy music again but finding the time for another band is tough going, so it may well go down the solo route.
