"The Butterfly Effect" is a brand new concept EP from Fragile X. 

Loosely based around the 'chaos theory' branch of mathematics, it sees the label boss return home to Bricolage with his characteristic sound design and anomalous approach to percussion lighting the way on a six track release full of splintered beats and complex layers. Where a network of dynamic melodic elements systematically shift around among a dense array of deep basslines and a backdrop of sci-fi tinged atmospherics.

В апреле 2021-го Leo Cap встряхнул дабстеп-сцену синглом «Anapskiy Skank». Трек качал радиоэфиры, фестивали и танцполы по всему миру. Пожалуй, оригинальный хулиганский стиль Leo Cap начал стремительно пробивать своё место в авангарде жанра именно с него.  

Прошли годы, и родилась идея дать «Анапскому сканку»  (̶в̶ ̶п̶е̶ч̶е̶н̶ь̶)̶ новую жизнь в форме ресканков (ремиксов). Заручившись благословением автора, мы передали проект с оригиналом продюсерам из ближнего круга. Свои ресканки сделали такие саундсистемные авторитеты, как Oddkut, Neekeetone, Goobaltah, Atom Dubs и Skotcha.

Лорд тьмы Oddkut пересобрал оригинальный грув в зубодробительный beats на 85 bpm, которому позавидовали бы Ivy Lab.

Джангл-виртуоз Neekeetone также исследует исходный грув сквозь beats-оптику, развивая танцпольный вектор с помощью джукового флоу на 160 bpm.

Рейв-специалисты Goobaltah заварили серьёзный кислотный брейкс на 140 bpm с рычащим индустриальным грувом.

Ресканк от Atom Dubs звучит сокрушительно, как приговор, который хладнокровно приводится в исполнение в самой тёмной части дабстеп-подземелья.

Финальный ресканк от Skotcha на фирменных «блатных» 130 bpm ближе всех к оригинальному груву и мета-ироничен по отношению к Leo Cap за счёт ответной записи разговора музыкантов.

В итоге каждый участник эффектно перенёс «Анапский сканк» в новые грани хардкор-континуума.

В течение последних пары лет все версии прошли основательную дабплейт-обкатку на наших танцах, и теперь настало время отдать их в мир.

Анапский Ресканк — это не только свидетельство высокого уровня продакшна русскоязычной бас-сцены, но и умение её представителей с лёгкостью приносить на серьёзный bassface улыбки от фана и куража. А ещё это про коннект и дружбу: все действующие лица делают (ре)сканк на расстоянии вытянутой руки, даже находясь за тысячи километров. Надеемся, вы почувствуете этот вайб и сделаете сканк вместе с нами!

In April 2021, Leo Cap shook up the dubstep scene with the single "Anapskiy Skank." The track rocked radio stations, festivals, and dance floors around the world. Arguably, it was with this single that Leo Cap's original, badboy style began to rapidly carve its place at the forefront of the genre. It's worth noting that by that time, the artist's original alias, Black Barrel, had already gained recognition in the drum & bass scene.

Years passed, and the idea was born to give "Anapskiy Skank" new life in the form of reskanks (remixes). With the author's blessing, we passed the project to producers from inner circle. Soundsystem heavyweights like Oddkut, Neekeetone, Goobaltah, Atom Dubs, and Skotcha created their own versions.

Lord of Darkness aka Oddkut reassembled the original groove into a bone-shattering 85 bpm beats.

Jungle virtuoso Neekeetone also explores the original groove through a beats lens, developing a dancefloor-friendly direction with a juke-inspired 160 bpm flow.

Rave specialists Goobaltah have created a serious acid break at 140 bpm with a growling industrial groove.

Atom Dubs' reskank sounds crushing, like a punishment coldly executed in the darkest part of a dubstep dungeon.

Skotcha's final reskank, at the signature 130 bpm, is closest to the original groove and is meta-ironic towards Leo Cap thanks to a response recording of the musicians' conversation.

Anapskiy Reskank is not only a testament to the high level of production in the Russian-speaking bass scene, but also to its members' ability to bring smiles of fun and excitement to even the most serious bassface. It's also about connection and friendship: everyone involved (re)skanks at arm's length, even from thousands of miles away. Hope you'll feel this vibe and skank with us!
