Argentinian but Barcelona-based, nueen has been crafting some very particular sound drifts through a luminescent and recurring warm atmosphere, endlessly fluidic and delicate pads, recombining rhythms where multiple temporalities are juxtaposed. 
Over the years, he has developed a highly personal style –profoundly intimate yet immediately giving onto distant space-times. His dub-ambient embroiled sound has been released on labels such as Good Morning Tapes, Quiet Time, Balmat and APPX.

In May, longtime Vief collaborator halle o’malley got in touch with an idea. She’d come across the Instagram of a 17-year old Palestinian musician called Samih, who’s life has been torn apart as a result of Israel's recent onslaught on the Gaza strip. Their home destroyed, Samih and his family were forced to flee to a refugee camp in Rafah. During their displacement, Samih has gone viral posting videos of himself singing and playing a borrowed oud.
 
Having spoken to Samih and received his blessing, Halle planned to sample a video of his and donate the proceeds from the sales of that track to a GoFundMe set up for him and his family. Halle approached the label with the idea of scaling this project up by inviting other producers to sample Samih themselves or provide original tracks of their own.
 
Madhoun now stands as a compilation containing four productions sampling Samih, an interlude, and nine other dance tracks generously donated by producers from across the world.

Szacharose (@roza-nagy) is a Budapest based DJ who can be familiar from the underground Psychedelic and Jungle scene. She focuses on creating fusion between styles and genres. In this set, she plays with the flow and athmosphere of breaks to make experimental sounds from 130 bpm to 160. This whole hour of complexity is an experiment because this selection is different from her usual ones. It ascends from slower and darker tracks to alternative Jungle and Breakbeat tunes.
