Twenty-four years in the making, ::BLUE:: is an ambitious collision of hyper-focused sound design and twitchy Miami sonic influences that bring together all of Danny Daze’s sprawling interests for the first time. The 90-minute album is intentionally driven by sound itself, intended to be absorbed in one uninterrupted sitting (preferably blindfolded) to coax the listener into creating their own visual accompaniment. A concept piece, ::BLUE:: draws its inspiration from a wide, open world of messages and music, positioning itself just above the stratosphere and zooming in periodically to reveal microscopic details. Curls of rhythm bend around Daze’s sonic landscape like rivers and streams, framing island clusters of abstraction and turning washy ambience into booming bass music or horizontally-skewed experimental IDM. It’s a culmination of Daze’s experiences, spanning his early days as a cross-genre DJ and soundsystem fanatic, through his life as a globetrotting techno & electro producer, to his latter-day role as a cornerstone of Miami’s diverse cultural melting-pot.

Daze cut his teeth DJing and beat juggling when he was still a teenager, learning from the Florida scene’s voracious musical hybridization and paying little attention to genre boundaries. He came up at a time when the area was boundlessly creative but painfully under-documented, listening to bass-heavy electro sounds in one club and then hearing those elements flipped seamlessly by local artists like Phoenecia, Dino Felipe, and Otto von Schirach in another. This ingenuity was put into the spotlight on Homecore! Miami All-Stars, a lengthy showcase Daze presented last year on his own Omnidisc imprint, placing veterans such as Murk and Gosub next to an influential newer generation of artists like MJ Nebreda, INVT, Sister System, and Coffintexts. With ::BLUE::, Daze makes those connections even clearer, submerging glitchy, Schematic-style psychedelia in hypnotic, meditational reflecting pools and curving futuristic, bass-heavy grooves into lavish, experimental atmospheres. A love-letter to Miami that fully takes in the city’s broad outlook, ::BLUE:: examines how its sounds have been absorbed into the DNA of global electronic music, often without due credit.

It’s hard to believe that ::BLUE:: is Daze’s debut full-length, and it almost wasn’t. He finished an album back in 2013 but scrapped it when he began to realize it didn’t fully encapsulate his musical and artistic scope. Daze wanted to develop a record that highlighted the physicality he remembers from club music: the hands on turntables, the frequencies that practically rearrange your insides, the mass of voices, the energy of breakdancing cyphers. He produced 100 tracks for ::BLUE::, whittling them down to a tight 19 that he blended together, applying his experience as a DJ to create a seamless listening experience. The record, released via his own Omnidisc label, also highlights his ongoing relationship with the local scene, with guest appearances from Push Button Objects, Nick León, Jonny From Space, and Deroboter. And it’s not just an album; Daze has evolved the record into a live, audio-visual journey to be presented at planetarium (full dome) environments, using sonic elements from ::BLUE:: while directing eye-popping visuals created alongside Sensory Works, Joseph Nickson, and Konx Om Pax. The show made its debut during Art Basel Miami at The Frost Museum Planetarium and is preparing to be shown in various cities around the world. The show is currently being turned into an app, using Dolby Atmos and VR technology to enhance the message. Lie back, and let your mind and body do the rest.

As Amniote Editions proudly celebrates its 5th anniversary, the label is excited to unveil 'HoxV-2: Spekki Webu x Heliobolus - Phylogenetic Analysis,' the debut LP from long-time friend and collaborator, @spekkiwebu, also known as Heliobolus. This 11-track project, shaped by a full year of meticulous studio experimentation, represents a bold exploration of sound, merging experimental techno with cinematic elements. “This is a journey of intertwined storylines, akin to parallel universes that connect and diverge.” Spekki explains.

At the heart of Phylogenetic Analysis lies the narrative of Heliobolus, a story of continuous evolution across different lifetimes, where Spekki Webu finds himself trapped in a cycle of spiritual searching and physical transformation. Drawing inspiration from science fiction, the artist crafts a dual narrative between tracks that oscillates between the spiritual and the surreal. Spekki tells us: ”The track ‘White Room’ is inspired by an intense psychedelic experience where his perception was wiped out for the endurance of a lifecycle, while ‘Forest Hunter’ delves into a recurring nightmare of being pursued in the woods. Later in life, I revisited these woods in a psilocybin session.” This gives just a peek into the kafkaesque corridors of Spekkis’s mind, leaving lingering questions for the listener for the rest of the release.

This LP not only embodies Spekki's artistic evolution in between alter egos - but also reflects the essence of Amniote Editions' five-year journey of curating forward-thinking electronic music. With influences ranging from 90s Dutch Goa to tribal rhythms, Spekki infuses a groove and funkiness throughout the album, balancing dance floor energy with cinematic sound design. 'HoxV-2: Spekki Webu x Heliobolus - Phylogenetic Analysis' is a testament to both the artist’s and the label's commitment to pushing boundaries, making this release a landmark moment in their shared history.

For the fifth release of Organic Signs, we pay tribute once again, in an even more special way, to our beloved Digitalis, aka Seb Taylor. Two years ago, we launched the first EP of our label, Digitalis - Soma Junkies, recovering a gem from the British artist. This time, we wanted to go further by presenting a new album concept with impeccable sound, thanks to the mastering by Damian Schwartz. Comprising both released tracks and some unreleased material, The Fourth State serves as a tribute and evolution of Digitalis's only album released in 1998, reminding us of the urgent need to remain vigilant against the most insidious powers of social control.

Spacehop, the starting point. In 1994, after hearing a demo tape, Andy Guthrie (aka 100th Monkey / Funkopath) connected Digitalis with the team of the Spacehopper party at the Que Club in Birmingham. There, Digitalis quickly became a resident, dazzling audiences with his live sets. A premature first track from the early days of his career was never officially released, but many had the chance to enjoy it live on numerous memorable nights.

In Loup Garou, the exquisite taste and mastery of breakbeat rhythms manifest. It's an explosion of rhythm interwoven with trance patterns, and you can also listen to an unreleased digital version, exclusive to Bandcamp. Closing the first side of the record is Repeater, the first track ever released by Digitalis, which laid the foundations for his distinctive sound.One of the most surprising parts of the album unfolds on the B side. Just as we had finalized the selection of tracks, Seb surprised us with a message revealing that he had found old tapes.

This led to a collaboration with Hugh Newman, rich with influences from his alias Shakta, featuring vocal and acid synths that open the portal to a new dimension of auditory frequencies. Osho Drums combines live percussion from Osho, half of the Japanese group UNI, with psychedelic trance riffs and breakbeat rhythms that intertwine without relying on typical formulas.

Figments Of Reality (Trance Mix) would bring the vinyl album to a close, featuring nearly 146 BPM of trance and synth sounds that resonate like thrown objects falling from the sky, landing on the rhythmic grill.

As a final addition to the release, we also present Genetics, a digital exclusive track, another unreleased gem from his early days that deserved to come out of the vault of memories.
