Sam Binga & Particle - Business Jungle

Another year draws to close and its been another strange one by all accounts. This month we welcome JBERR, an artist ventured upon back in the summer for the final episode of 2021.

JBERR is the outlet for Melbourne-based Jack Berryman's delicately crafted low-fidelity vignettes and stripped-back Antipodean techno sketches. Drawing on decades of home-studio R&D, and an observational outlook soundtracked by experimental composition, 90s hip hop, dub, house and the techno spectrum, the project seeks to set free some of the more fully formed ideas cooked up over the past few years.

Jack has put together a selection of his own music for a 45 minute mix that closes out the last episode of '21 in his own deep electronic style. Thanks Jack

We were very lucky with 2020 Soundsystem: 10 years of touring the globe, playing fantastic gigs at clubs, parties and festivals and meeting and working with some wonderful people. This is a previously unreleased, promo only  'live album' that we recorded in the summer of 2012 in the middle of our last bout of touring. It had always frustrated me that we had never quite caught the real energy and sound of the band playing live on any of our releases, so when the opportunity arose to record a session in Loudhailer Studios here in Manchester, we jumped at it. We spent one day setting up and getting a 'sound' that we were comfortable with and had a play through, then recorded this the next day. It's basically a one take run through of our live set at that time which includes tunes that we wrote as a band and also originals and remixes that we had previously released under our solo project names. For me it's the most satisfying recording we ever made. Please enjoy and spread the LOVE! It goes out to everybody who supported us throughout and continues to support us in our other projects. It really does mean a lot.
