Sefyla is a 5-piece rock band budding out from the local music scene of Cebu, Philippines. Their sound is a progression of combining rock with distinct elements of reggae, and ska;  with wordplays personally reflecting socio-political ideologies and contemporary opinions of the band members themselves. Sefyla's musical roots can be traced back to a high school all-girl ska band in 2001, whose heavily influenced by the rich underground sound of their Cebu hometown.  

Their debut EP Diaspora was independently released in 2013.  Their take to spread an originally localized sound and lyrical perspective that intends to become a positive movement to the genre unique to them. Their EP's lead single P.O.W. has gained favorable roundtable reviews from local radio stations, while regularly earning a spot on artists' spotlight playlists at the time.

Their musical highlights include sharing stages with international reggae artists such as Big Mountain and Inner Circle, including performance invites at some of the region's most regarded sub-culture events and music festivals like Cebu Reggae Fest, The World's Biggest Sleep Out, Kadaugan Boardriding and Music Fest, Bisaya Music Fest, Fete de la Musique, MTV's Visayas Music Festival, and Cebu Guitar Festival among others.
