MATIAS AGUAYO – SELVAGEM
Always looking for a new rhythmic adventure in his sets, this one was inspired by the DJ observing what happens if you start mixing modern beats from different places of the southern hemisphere - specially inspired by a gig on a “Selvagem” party in Sao Paulo where you could feel that there are dancefloors craving for something that is between 4/4 and 6/8, that can’t be written in a score, and confuses the bpm counters of the Eurocentric CDJs. A big orchestral tune that is savagely rhythmical and works both in the club and on the street.

Fresh collab from Multi Culti’s Thomas Von Party and Calypso’s Iñigo Vontier — SALSA FINGERS debut on Pigmalião’s ‘I Lost My Poncho In Istanbul’ with two downtempo chuggers. Coco Fantasma takes its name from the forthcoming coconut and ghost pepper salsa that the Canadian-Mexican duo have cooked up. For real. Mouth harp, tribal drumming, and a haunted flute hook make for a low-key floor-filler for the slow-mo house DJs and global neo-shamanic cult builders alike.
Amor Modular takes the familiar Cumbia groove into new territory with a modular synth riff, tight Latina voices take the heat up to 11 and once again, the Salsito’s trademark flute hook brings a perfectly dosed hit of folklorica.

Barnaby Bruce runs the Hong Kong office of the highly regarded, Palms & Charms label. He is also a very talented percussionist and musician. Yellow Monsoon was originally recorded about ten years ago with the help of drummer, Babatunji Heath and has been sitting in the archives ever since. Recently Max Essa came across a rough mix of the track and felt it had to be released, so Barnaby sent the files over to Jardin Studios in Yokohama where it was mixed and also a second remixed version was done by Max. Release date : November 6th 2020 exclusively from the Jansen Jardin Bandcamp page.

These two tracks were composed before "DEEWEE Sessions Vol. 01" specially for a project of the Ghent University, where exercise bikes were linked to a system that played sounds of the EMS Synthi 100. By cycling on two-wheelers, visitors could influence the music and make it more expressive.
