#Remix - Earthbound / Mother 2 - Snowman (Cam3mix)

Questa è la mappa sonora di una tipica passeggiata sul Naviglio Grande a Milano.
Il lavoro vuole essere una riflessione su come il suono caratterizzi certi ambienti, le persone che li frequentano e le cose che in essi accadono. Esso viene inoltre spesso utilizzato abilmente per indurre la clientela alla fruizione di determinati prodotti (si vedranno di seguito gli esempi dei luoghi visitati durante la passeggiata e di come il suono all’interno dei luoghi cambi di volta in volta a seconda del tipo di ambiente).
-	Il file "Passeggiata sul Naviglio Grande", il più lungo (durata 3 minuti) è il leit-motiv dell’intera mappa sonora. La registrazione durava inizialmente poco più di mezz’ora, ma adesso opportunamente tagliata selezionando le parti più interessanti, dà la sensazione di un percorso fluido durante il quale avvengono i seguenti fatti:
la passeggiata comincia in seguito al passaggio del tram, all’inizio del Naviglio Grande; si cominciano a udire delle voci di passanti che discutono fra loro; un motorino passa davanti a noi, seguito da una bicicletta; un ragazzo di colore prova a venderci delle rose; dei bambini chiacchierano con le loro madri; alcune ragazze (di cui si odono i tacchi) parlano dei loro capelli; cominciano le prime voci straniere di turisti, inglesi, francesi, spagnoli, coreani, tedeschi; un italiano parla della propria azienda; un ragazzo che si allena corre davanti a noi e ci supera; si odono rintoccare le campane della chiesa (è domenica); alcuni parlano dei tram notturni; un ragazzo si lamenta dei propri problemi al telefono; c’è qualcuno che fa la considerazione “la gente non è più la stessa”; mentre si ode un’ambulanza in lontananza, un tipico italiano che parla (male) l’inglese abborda delle ragazze straniere; un altro italiano si lamenta scurrilmente al cellulare; un uccellino vola sulle nostre teste; qualcuno apre la porta di un negozio: è l’ora di entrare a dare un’occhiata!

-	Io e la mia accompagnatrice entriamo in una creperia e, dopo una breve discussione su quale gusto di gelato abbinare alla Nutella (dialogo reale e non costruito, perché lei non sapeva che io stessi continuando a registrare), ci facciamo servire dal barista, ringraziamo e usciamo fuori. Il sottofondo per i clienti è musica pop/commerciale.
-	Entriamo successivamente in un Lounge bar dove fanno l’aperitivo. La musica è jazz e il locale è elegante ed ha uno stile d’arredamento jazz&blues. C’è un concertino live.
-	Andiamo successivamente all’interno di una libreria che ha un ingresso aperto. Ci sono molti stranieri dentro che sfogliano vari libri. C’è un sottofondo musicale il cui genere si colloca fra l’house e il celtico, molto suggestivo per la lettura ma non eccessivamente calmo e passivo. Dà carica ed una tipologia di energia interiore tendente alla riflessione. Usciamo dalla libreria, un passante (probabilmente spagnolo) esclama più volte in modo buffo la parola “geloso”
-	Entriamo in chiesa. E’ il momento dell’omelia del prete durante la Santa Messa. C’è molto riverbero, dovuto alle imponenti colonne di marmo che sovrastano i fedeli. C’è un effetto acustico che comunica un sentimento di enormità, grandezza e onnipotenza. Una piccola porta scricchiola alle nostre spalle.
-	Entriamo in una fumetteria. L’ingresso acustico lo percepisco come l’inizio di un film: dentro è tutto, interamente, un film. Gente che sfoglia fumetti Disney, manga giapponesi, fumetti della Marvel (supereroi). C’è un’atmosfera di relax che comunica che è giunto “il momento di dedicare del tempo ai propri hobby”. Si sente il fruscìo di alcuni fumetti sfogliati dai clienti.  Un cartone prende il sopravvento sonoro, facendo da sottofondo ad una discussione fra cassiere e cliente. 
-	Entriamo in un negozio di vestiti femminili di moda. Sicuramente il sottofondo sonoro più interessante: una delle ultime canzoni pop dance del momento. L’abbinamento vestiti (moda) alla musica (dance) mi sembra molto appropriato come scelta, abile e mirata per una tipologia di target giovanile e “sempre sul pezzo”. La mia partner chiede alcune informazioni su dei vestiti, si sentono dei rumori di grucce. Salutiamo, ringraziamo e usciamo. Qualcuno ci chiede se siamo del palazzo.

E’ stato molto interessante e stimolante, a mio avviso, svolgere quest’esercitazione sulla mappatura sonora di un posto a nostra scelta di Milano. Ho scelto il Naviglio Grande perché mi sembrava il più appropriato per trovare gente di tutti i tipi, lingue straniere, mescolanze di generi musicali e varietà di vita. Per quanto mi riguarda, potrebbe essere il riassunto di una città, un “Milano Style” sonoro.
