Someone once said: "Downtempo is dead." I don't know what they mean. It can't be dead and Space Kadett is on a mission to prove the polar opposite. It's as exciting and diverse as any big genre. Though I think it has a marketing challenge. People always say: "It sounds amazing, but what the f is it?!" That needs to change.

Space Kadett:
A person who tends to space out often. He or she does not respond when directly spoken to. The Space Kadett is not necessarily a person of low intelligence or a heavy drug user, but rather one who is so easily lost in music that he or she loses all awareness of the surrounding physical world.

the journey continues and after we have received the last "Love Cast" from the central/south German area, we are moving further south and straight to Zürich, which should already be known to some of you as a downtempo hotspot and if not, at the latest after this cream piece here!

our current artist @aka_tony became aware of us through the last "ruuuinous good" Love Cast by @bretfast and directly texted us initiatively (as some other people are doing as well by now, wohooo) and so pretty quickly one wheel fell into the other... so also this "Love Cast" is a special one, as it came about through a "domino effect", which we expected sooner or later and which is exactly how it should be... <3

...the sets of the @aka-tapes series, which can also be highly recommended, should probably tell some of you something, and if not, then definitely @planetibiza, where this good soul also has his magic fingers in it, and that's not all, the incredibly networked gentleman (whom bretfast always names only as "the legend") also has a slot in a radio station (@gdsfm), organises many colourful live dance nights in the Zürich area and - what makes us maximum happy, he also runs a series called "LOVE is LOVE" (@loveislove2021) - this must be a sign...

long story short: we are maximum proud to release a set by this multi connected southern star and are looking forward to the next domino effects that will result from it and wish you a lot of fun with this worldly gentle journey into switzerland's downbeatland - as always full of LOVE and positive POWER.

Für alle die dem Frühlingserwachen entgegenfiebern, haben wir genau den richtigen Soundtrack für euch parat. Dr. Gemein alias Benny aus Gießen, serviert uns mit seiner Interpretation eines Igelkarussells, ein fein abgeschmecktes Down-und Midtempo Set. Als Gründer des Kollektivs Familie Feiernacht und als Hüter des Biotops verzaubert er das Nachtleben in Mittelhessen seit geraumer Zeit. Als gemeinsames Projekt der Feiernacht-Spulenigel Connection fand letztes Jahr das erste Mal das „Biosphäre“ Mirco-Festival statt, welches auch in diesem Jahr stattfinden wird. Die Synergie der beiden Kollektive sprach Bände, sodass ihr euch gern schon mal den 27.05.2023 freihalten dürft, More Infos tba ;)
Der Weg des Gießener DJs und Veranstalters begann 2019 auf verschiedenen lokalen Events, welche er stets mit seinem Kollektiv gemeinsam kreierte. Doch eigentlich startete die Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik bereits viel früher: In den späten 90ern und Anfang der 2000er. Werke wie „Homework“ von Daft Punk inspirierten ihn nachhaltig und hielten ihn fest im Bann der elektronischen Tanzmusik. Schließlich mündete die Begeisterung darin, dass er sich vom Konsumenten zum Produzenten von eigenen Sets und Partys weiterentwickelte. Dabei versucht er seiner Philosophie stets treu zu bleiben: „Am wichtigsten ist es für mich etwas zurückgeben und teilen zu können.“ 
Die Hingabe für Raver, die Technoszene und die Musik formuliert er wie folgt: „Ich versuche die Schönheit der Musik in meinen Ohren zu reflektieren und den Menschen mit unseren Veranstaltungen und meinen Sets eine kleine Reise weg vom Alltag zu bereiten.“ Word - Mehr muss man dazu nicht sagen… 🧡🙏
Sein Mix für uns beginnt mit deepen Vocals gepaart mit Neoklassik gefolgt von treibenden Downtempo Beats, welche sich allmählich in Tempo und Intensität steigern. Dabei lebt der Mix besonders von der progressiven Machart und wandert dabei kunstvoll zwischen Melancholie und Heiterkeit. Durch dieses einfühlsame Storytelling erhält der Zuhörer die Möglichkeit in andere Sphären abzutauchen, Bilder wie die unserer Biosphäre erscheinen unmittelbar vor unserem inneren Auge und lässt uns erneut ausgelassen im Sonnenlicht des Biotops tanzen.
