I’m so excited to share my first original Nokae release in more than three years! The song portrays the struggle to recognize when we’re under the spell of a toxic relationship and summon the willpower to break free of its damaging  bonds.

As I was building out the drop for this track, I thought, “This synth sounds like a metallic snake coiling around its prey.” Thus 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘵 was born. I was so fortunate to work with the talented vocalist KORA to bring this narrative to life. I hope you enjoy the track!

The story:
I wanted to use the concept of a "trinite" trio (or trinity), this idea of three unique artists glued together by a transcendant force, and expanded on it in my own "Strigi" sort of way so that there's three distinct parts to the track with a hype break, a "sky-break" if you will lol. 

I loved the idea of the bell-like tones in the original and there's sort of this airyness to the dynamic between the riverbed/watery stuff and the striking of percussive moments, that I wanted to captilize on that as a stamp of the melodic contributions from the original; the melodies are just so infectious.
