Washington DC's Rush Plus drop four superb techno cuts entitled 'The Sweat EP' on P.Leone and Caiazzo's E-Missions imprint.

Having dropped three quality releases on their own eponymous label, Rush Plus continue to turn heads with their imaginative productions, gaining support from the upper echelons of techno with names like Rodhad, Ben Klock, DJ Spider, Ben Sims, Slam, Answer Code Request, DJ Deep and many more getting behind them. Following up a release on Ambivalent's Valence Records, they now join P.Leone and Caiazzo's rapidly rising E-Missions imprint.

'Megabust' initiates the package with twisted sci-fi synths and syncopated drums whilst rattling metallic elements operate throughout. Intricate hits of percussion are soon followed by rumbling bass in 'Rebirth' as the track gradually becomes more and more twisted using filtered effects and soaring pads, making way for the shuffling 'Sweat' with its menacing stabs and echoing voices. Finally, the package concludes with 'Slow Release' - a high-octane and ominous roller.

Ben Klock introduces Greek-raised, Moscow-based artist Stef Mendesidis for the next Klockworks release. Mendesidis delivers 3 original tracks using analogue gear to produce soundscapes inspired by cinematic scenes. Thats sounds transport the listener through sounding grooves and classy chords that fit the signature Klockworks sound. Focusing on his machines for the craft of his music, Mendesidis recorded all cuts in one take. To celebrate his EP release, he wants to join the Klockworks showcase at Berghain on December 29th.

Ow_kay, Joannes got that Wagwan thang going on. Rolling thunder under the hood, sprinkled with some breaks and reverbed. Yeah, it’s that hands in the air moment. Package includes a big phat breakdown.

vince - namechanger - (o-wells c++ ösen mix) -
If War of the Worlds had a contemporaneous soundtrack, this would be on it. Electro-breaks, tunnel vision, planets colliding. Do not fear us, we come in peace.

Dj Hell & Italo Brutalo – People under the age (Rydim Rmx) - Rydim (Part of ItaloJohnson Trio) deliver a nasty boompty track. Think of Derrick Carter remixing Gemini remixing Derrick May. Can I have a bump, to straighten things out? Mit ein kleines bisschen acid?

OPIA’s sister label Euphoric State reports back to duty with ‘Evolutionary Perspective’ from veteran producers, Relative Progress. The four tracker consists of two remastered cuts from their sought after ‘Illustrated Primer’ EP back in ‘96 and on the flip two recent productions made this year. 

Quite notably some of their finest work ‘Getting There’ opens the EP with its signature bleeps, and progressive structure. An urgent and driven track of the past, that without maybe realising you will be familiar with. ‘Heart ‘N’ Soul’ releases the energy tension, a more mellow cut with rippling pads and dreamy attention to detail. 

Kicking off the modern productions is the Detroit-esque ‘Be Real’, a slick and deep alternative to the A side, smooth hi-hats melt into the bouncy organ arrangement. Rounding off the EP is a hazy late night jazz vibe entitled ‘U Got Me Into This’, winding down proceedings in style, as you would imagine from the long term producers. 

Another well rounded EP on Euphoric state, dedicated to melding futuristic sounds of the past and present.
