It's hard to believe that it's been 5 years already since we smashed a metaphorical bottle on the side of the good ship Selador and set sail upon the choppy waters of the independent record label business, but that's where we're at. 

To celebrate this milestone we wanted to do something a little bit special and so it was decided (on a beer mat, over a beer, like so many of our best laid plans) to assemble a team of artists who'd helped us get thus far (plus a few added cameos for good measure) and ask them to collaborate. The result is a statement of just how far we've come. 24 esteemed artists creating 12 tracks across 3 EPs. 

This first EP sees 4 mouthwatering pairings. From the Progressive heavy hitters Quivver & Cristoph teaming up for the slamming wall of sound that is ‘In Name Only’ to the deep Tech wizardry of ‘Friendship’ by Robert Babicz & Stelios Vassiloudis through the inspired, effortless chic of Just Her & Raw District on ‘Three Hearts’ finishing with the ‘knock-it-out-of-the-park’ Techno monster of Luke Brancaccio & Tim Healey’s ‘Voices’ featuring Kiki Cave, it's an awesome foursome. And this is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. 

So please raise your glasses and join us in a toast to 5 Years Of Selador. Or even better, come join us in person at Watergate, Berlin on April 26th for the launch party. We'll even throw in some cake (though not in the Steve Aoki sense obviously).

SISTERHOOD | TUNNELS (BICEP REMIX)

Championed by the likes of Seth Troxler, Guy Gerber and Tiga, the former Footprintz member turned solo star has set his musical sights on the incense-filled Multi Culti chill-out room.

Following recent releases on Visionquest, Supplement Facts, Life & Death, and Turbo, Clarian continues a run of musically diverse, emotionally resonant songs with this three track EP. Ma Shiva stands out immediately in every way: it’s a mid-tempo pop ballad that takes as its refrain one of the most popular Hindu mantras. It’s a total one-off that has a certain familiarity to it without actually sounding quite like anything specific… except, oddly enough, maybe a dash of 80s-era Leonard Cohen in the phrasing of the verses. Open Your Eyes takes the tempo down even lower, into laid-back Talking Heads territory. Taking on such a wide range is an impressive feat, a show of great confidence from the young Montreal-based producer. It’s no wonder he’s been courted by some of the biggest names in the house scene as both a writer and producer. Rounding off these two languid anthems is Dystopia, a dragon-stick-juggling bazaar-ride of inner-exoticism. Progressive - even for progressive!

In remix support are the always-awesome Invisible Conga People, long overdue to release more original music. For the time being we’ll have to content ourselves with this epic, meandering acid dub rework of the title track.

We present Audiojack’s ‘Senses EP’ this April, which comes with great remixes from Reset Robot and dubspeeka.

Audiojack say “The idea for Senses came from watching a documentary; we sampled the narrator and edited the recording, splicing together different words and sentences to create something new. On the Road was made after reading Jack Kerouac’s book of the same name, then digging deeper to find other players of that time like Ken Kesey who went on the road sampling LSD with the Merry Pranksters.  We ended up at Albert Hoffman who first synthesised LSD by mistake. He's sampled in the track describing his first experience on the drug.”
