Phil Kelsey as PKA released Temperatures Rising and Let Me Hear You Say Yeah, while Dave was Annadin (renaissance / Sasha fave) and The Self Preservation Society  remixing Simply Red, The Human League, Bump and Eternal.

They now team up and release 'B Somebody' on Selador, and we are seriously happy to have the boys back in action!

In 2006, when the borders of progressive house were starting to blur and music started melting into the digital sphere, Balance 010 arrived with almost monastic ambition.

Disc 2 is the heart of Balance 010, the warm midtempo arc that gives the entire three-disc structure its emotional weight. It rises slowly from ambient drift into soft breakbeats, glides through Cocteau Twins shimmer and Speedy J tension, and lands in that hypnotic space where Boards of Canada, Ellen Allien, Aphex Twin and Underworld all feel like parts of the same world. 

Critics consistently pointed to this disc as the most replayable, the most cinematic, the place where Jimmy’s instinct for mood and narrative became unmistakable. It moves without forcing momentum, deepens without darkening, and closes on a fourteen-minute Underworld remix that turns the whole project into a pilgrimage. 

If Balance 10 has a centre of gravity, Disc 2 is it.

BLANCAh is a Brazilian DJ, producer and multidisciplinary artist whose work has become a defining force in South American electronic music. With more than twenty years of experience, three albums and international performances, her sound blends harmonic detail and emotional depth.   

In June 2025 she released Music For When The World is Silent, a personal, concept-driven third album shaped by a period of post-pandemic quiet and uncertainty. The 12-track project, featuring Mari-Anna and Eleonora, arrived on her label Hiato Music and will expand in January with the release of more remixes.

On this Balance Selections mix, BLANCAh showcases her progressive credentials, weaving tracks from James Harcourt, D-Nox & Beckers, Guy J and others into an emotive journey tinged with psychedelic flourishes and built with precision.

Balance Croatia 004: Jody Wisternoff

Bruxelles,Belgium based Massimo DaCosta & Vernon Bara, aka Raw District, make their Selador debut with an EP overflowing with both style and substance. Following recent releases on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Moon Harbour and Souvenir, the duo have made quite an impact since their first outing only 3 years ago and their growing reputation continues here.

Their two original contributions on this EP demonstrate the pair’s ability to switch effortlessly between light and shade. From the brooding melancholy of Taking You Down which features the sumptuous vocal of Jinadu to the sinister robotic tech of Monday Mood these guys can definitely make the rough with the smooth.

In true Selador style we’ve also assembled a dream team of remixers that takes the release positively stratospheric. The collective powers of Animal Trainer, Metodi Hristov and Habischman are on full display for all to see and hear. Buckle up! 

And with that, the stars align once more. Just how they should be.
