This is club music at its most vital. 

Next up, Berlin’s Smash TV gets deep down and dirty for the low slung groover that is ‘Freaks’, irresistible phatness of the highest order which is followed by the mysterious Mr E donning his alter ego for some serious superhero dance floor action courtesy of the beguiling ‘Lost’ and last but by no means least, Darksidevinyl & Balata combine for an Afro House anthem in the making. ‘Boohe’ is a towering representation of the genre. Tribal-tastic! 

In short, a magnificent seven that would have Bronson, Brynner & McQueen running for the hills.

After a superb 2011 for Crosstown Rebels, they are now proud to present their next album, Amirali ‘In Time’. Tipped as a one to watch for 2012 (Mixmag), Iranian/Canadian producer Amirali’s debut album is truly exceptional, a subtle combination of house, techno, funk, electronica and downbeat with indie sensibilities. The album is reminiscent of Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Underworld and Art Department all through a modern electronic paradigm. Amirali features on vocals on the album and is already being widely, regarded as one of the most accomplished debut albums of recent years.

His recent single ‘Beautiful World’ (featuring remixes from Deniz Kurtel, Daniel Bortz & Hrdvsion) was met with rapturous appeal gaining an ever-increasing legion of fans. ‘In Time’ is a fantastic body of work, from the hit singles ‘My Way’, ’Beautiful World’ and ‘Just An Illusion’ to the down tempo ‘Painting On A Canvas’ and ‘Last Words’, the album is full of beautiful sonic vignettes. Other highlights include the broken beat ‘Whisper’, the infectious ‘Hear Me’ and the mammoth ‘Sounds Of My Life’. ‘Just An Illusion’ will be released shortly after the album featuring MK, Franck Roger and Appleblim remixes. Amirali has succeeding in producing a mesmeric and consummate body of work. The album has already been playlisted on NPR and looking like another big album release for Crosstown Rebels.
