As Selador reaches it’s 3rd birthday, co-founder Steve Parry makes his artist debut for the label with a track that’s set to elevate his status to the next level. 

Following up the recent success of his massive ‘Flippant’ track on Bedrock should not have been an easy task but Steve has effortlessly created another accomplished peak time anthem that has already sent tongues-a-wagging amongst the lucky few who’ve managed to get their hands on a copy. 

Whereas ‘Flippant’ was most definitely an ode to his love of authentic acid house, ‘Apricity’ shows off his melodic side with it’s arptastic lead synth doing most of the damage atop a pulsating bass and roof raising arrangement. 

On the remix front, Brazilian Techno Maestro, Victor Ruiz, Portuguese Tech House grandee, Joal and the latest house music poster boys, Ki Creighton & Makanan all out-do themselves making for a package so fierce, it registers on the richter scale.

It was in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced me to Victor Ruiz while he was staying here in Berlin. I invited Victor to my studio where we had a fantastic session, playing our music to each other, listening to stuff we like and simply talkin and connecting. Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks. The result is our first joint EP, of which I am very proud. (Thomas Schumacher, November 2015)

Every artistic scene is lead by their artists and kept alive by their fans, but mostly by its talents, who can look outside of the box and have a great relationship with their crowd. Junior C is a great example of how this theory comes true for a DJ and Producer. Junior C is a very versatile artist, who solid his career in three columns: Technique, Feeling and Crowd-Reading; Important skills that added to his strong musical taste make him able to adapt his sets to many dance-floors, from underground to mainstream without loosing his musical identity. As a producer, got a lot f attention by his latest tracks Relax and Sweet Acid Talk released in Impact Records, produced in partnership with Wehbba and Propulse. Both tracks in just a couple of weeks hit the top 20 in tech-house at Beatport.com receiving compliments from: Sven Vath, 2000 and One, Karotte, Hector Couto, Joseph Capriati and many more; afterwards Sweet Acid Talk was the best seller of Ibiza Underground 2013 released by Toolroom Records. In this EP he has worked with D.O.C. label mastermind Gui Boratto, their new EP sports music for the dance floor, full of groove, lush harmonies and organic undertones. Engineered to perfection by label head GUI BORATTO, it's an exciting step for the imprint and the project alike.

Oliver Koletzki & Niko Schwind team up for a trip down the rabbit hole with “Black Walls”.

The title track fires off with a round of arpeggiated synths, a recurring pattern and focal point of the entire arrangement. Decked with sharp percussion and eerie synths, “Black Walls” unfolds like a downward spiral, in a mesmerizing and grave rhythm.

Reinier Zonneveld amplifies the depth of the track, by adding trance inducing layers. With the initial arpeggiated sequence at its core, Zonneveld infuses his own style of compact techno, reworking “Black Walls” into an entirely different rendition.

The closing track, although situated in the same deep and obscure registry, complements the raw power of the first two with the help of its smooth vocals. Paired with darker vocal pads and packing the same hypnotic rhythm, “My Vision” comes off as an imaginative melodic tech exploration.

Steyoyoke thanks you, our old and new fans, for the substructure of love and support upon which this label is built. We bring you ultramodern remixes of our liveliest tracks from 2015 on the latest EP, Steyoyoke Anniversary Vol. 04, to celebrate the new year, including remixes by: Philipp Kempnich, Cid Inc, Oliver Schories, MIDAS 104, and Jonas Saalbach.

Philip Kempnich remixes Aaryon and Ran Salman's 'Riptide', fundamentally shifting the patterns of sound consistently to leave you with an ever-pleased, tingly aural sensation. Cid Inc brings us his take on Nick Devon's 'The Poem' featuring Miroir, taking advantage of the earthy bass line through a complimentary arrangement. Oliver Schories faced Soul Button and BLANCAh's 'Rising Silence' turning this track into a twisted fantasy guaranteed to engulf you. MIDAS 104 approaches Animal Picnic's 'Gravity' with a bold confidence evident in the layout of this true anthem of ethereal techno, with a hint of funk! Lastly, but not leastly, Jonas Saalbach remixes Dahu and MPathy's 'Shattered' sticking to the darkness that is, while adding minimalistic elements to make this track simultaneously sink in and pop out in the most unpredictable and astounding ways.

Thank you to all our long-time fans that have loved us from the start, and to our new fans who we welcome with open arms into our family. Hamburg based producer Hatzler’s EP is crafted to keep the dancefloor moving, with two original tracks and two remixes. ‘SkyT’ unfolds with a rolling groove that ascends abruptly into a throbbing, trance-inducing piece peppered with cavernous synth pads. ‘KreaT’ lays down hard hitting thumps from the get-go, doling out an undulating synth with whirring atmospherics. It’s these whirs that end up combining harmoniously with the swirling synth hook, leading to a highly anticipated peak time release. For his ‘SkyT’ remix, Sian amps up the theatrics, giving the track a dramatic dimension by infusing it with spacious reverb. Where Sian went down a more theatrical avenue, Ruiz plays down the emotion.  Victor Ruiz’ take on ‘SkyT’ is a more stripped down approach, minimizing the elements and keeping the focus on the rolling bassline.
