Hi, I am a_lead, nice to meet you! 

Music has been present in my life ever since I can remember, but it was electronic music that became a part of me, of who I am now.  MTV, pop music, breakbeat, bigbeat and especially the many faces of house music have shaped my life. I`ve spent many nights on the dance floor, living music through dancing. I`ve travelled the world to see my favourite artists and DJs behind the decks, let myself be amazed by their djing craft, enjoying more and more the art of mixing, thinking if I could do that too…
Luckily, my partner encouraged me to start mixing and gave me the opportunity to play with him back to back. That helped me find the confidence to play alone finally. Thank you, V! 
 
Clean driving beats, sneaky sounds, heavy, groovy baselines, playful elements like melodies or vocals is what I look for, so that’s pretty much what you can expect from me, a_lead 🎈

Immersed in jazz and folk since toddler times and fuelled by his passion for music, Soren Hodne has been DJ-ing under the alias 'Thomas Workshop' while in cohesion touring as a founding member, vocalist, writer and producer of Lazy Syrup Orchestra.

Additionally Soren produces house music centric events with his Soul Hop Productions team. Hosting international artists in Vancouver and co-creating dance opportunities with a focus on long form extended DJ sets.

With Lazy Syrup Orchestra, Soren has toured Internationally, performing on an array of festival stages as the group continues to evolve and develop new music.

Soren is happiest when surrounded by aquatic house music, jazz, basketball, breakbeats, disc golf, old school hip hop and plant based hygiene products.

Residing in the beautiful Comox Valley, SELAYNE has long held a passion for curating events within her community. Embarking on her DJ journey just 1 year ago, she has swiftly showcased her skill and talent - evidenced by her recent achievement as a semi-finalist in the Vancouver Island DJ Competition. A dancer through and through, SELAYNE infuses her sets with an innate sense of rhythm and movement, meticulously selecting tracks that uplift, energize, and pulse with groovy basslines and funky melodies. While house music holds her heart, she skillfully incorporates the vibrant rhythms of hip hop and baile funk alongside the high-octane energy of drum and bass, UK dubstep, and UK garage. SELAYNE takes the crowd on a rhythmic journey through sound, crafting a vibrant energy guaranteed to ignite the dance floor and set bodies in motion
