He is a staple in the Caribbean community, having established his position for over a decade strong in the South Florida entertainment scene. Born and raised inKingston, Jamaica, but now a South Florida resident DJ, Selecta AJ has come a far way since his college days when his notorious mixtapes brought him due recognition. Thousands upon thousands of downloads have accumulated throughout the years, making him a force to be reckon with at present time, yet the Jamaican-born mix master remains devoted to learning and honing his craft. His humility and focus translates into a deep desire and capability to please all types of party patrons completely. He is never satisfied with the same old routine and continues to study many other genres of music. He can typically be heard in clubs anywhere in Florida from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Naples to Fort Myers, as well as overseas. When not in the clubs, he continues to spread his love of music with his mixes online or on SWFL party station 1055 The Beat, 7 days a week. You can catch Selecta AJ in the mix, every Monday to Friday at noon mixing it up on the "Eat to the Beat lunch mix" with First Lady Niki. Saturdays from 1am to 2am for the "Saturday Night Street Party" with the Beat Mix Squad djs. And again on Sundays 8pm to 9pm for the "Island Vibes Show" with Brooklyn.
