Have you been stealing the attention again? Probably :) Shine bright

Irie Jan ist seit dem Jahr 2009 als Selecta im Bereich Reggae & Dancehall tätig.

Hat er sich vorher nur mit dem Sammeln jamaikanischer Musik beschäftigt, schloss er sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt mit der Chanta Crew aus Düsseldorf zusammen, um seine gesammelten Werke nun auch vor Publikum präsentieren zu können.
In 3 Jahren aktiver Mitarbeit in dem Soundsystem spielte er regelmäßig in verschiedenen Locations in Düsseldorf und Umgebung. Er konnte so viele Eindrücke und Erfahrungen im DJ Bereich sammeln, die ihn dazu bewegt haben ab 2012 den Sound zu verlassen und als "One Man Army" allein weiter zu machen. 

Grundgedanke seiner Selection ist die Rückbesinnung auf die Wurzeln der jamaikanischen Musik. Es wird sehr viel Wert auf Foundation Artists gelegt, die die Wegbereiter der Musikentwicklung waren. Gleichzeitig wird auf einen ausgewogenen Mix aus Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae & Early Dancehall geachtet.
Mitte 2012 gründete & organierte er dann seine eigene Partyreihe "Reggae Hits The Town" in Düsseldorf. 
Ende 2016 gab es eine Kooperation mit dem Wild Lion Sound und es entstand die Partyreihe Selector's Choice, die im 2 monatlichem Rhythmus stattfindet!!
