Les ondes radios nous abreuvent depuis un peu trop longtemps d'un reggae festif, bon enfant, totalement inoffensif. Mais King ELSY, toaster de talent, originaire de l'Ile de la Martinique, n'hésite pas à aborder les thèmes qui ont fait la grande force du reggae dit "conscient" à savoir l'esclavage, la déportation dans les îles, la pauvreté et la foi en une terre promise aux peuples noirs: l'Ethiopie de Ras Tafari Haïlé Sélassié.

    King ELSY a fait ses débuts dans la musique au sein du Sound-System Dinamik Massive mais également avec Jah Guidance Sound à la fin des années 1990. En 2004 il enregistre son premier single "En Sel Bagaï" en collaboration avec Kaya P & Baron Black pour la compilation "Sé Kongo Wa Rivé" du label "Black House Music" avant de lancer son label "Revelation Time Records" avec lequel il produira notamment deux singles "Les Souvenirs" et "Prier" feat Baron Black. En 2008 le singjay sort son premier album "Vivant Ras Tafari" sur lequel des titres tels que "Babylone,Crimes,Son Nom C'est,Ras Tafari Vivant..." mais aussi "Peace & Love" Poutchi Riddim en duo avec King Daddy Yod ou encore "Ithiopia" en collaboration avec Féfé Typical.

    Son message est fait de refrains et de couplets intelligents, sincères, porteurs d'une mémoire. Pour la petite histoire, il prêche depuis un peu plus de 20 ans la parole rasta, et a reçu un peu de lumière lorsqu'il sortit l'album que pas mal de Selecta se sont arrachés, en quête de textes francophones inspirés et à mille lieues du star-system.

     Toujours animé par le désir d'avoir une organisation solide et de bonnes fondations dans tout ce qu'il entreprend, c'est avec une continuelle ardeur et dans une foi sans faille que ce frère avance dans son amour de la musique, source essentielle de vie et d'énergie, ceci en dépit des maintes tribulations qui ont pu croiser sa route... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------        Radio waves swamp us for a little too long for a festive reggae, good child, totally harmless . In 2008, the singjay released his first album "Living Ras Tafari " where titles such as " Babylon , Crimes , It's His Name , Ras Tafari Alive ..." but also "Peace & Love" Poutchi Riddim duet with King Daddy Yod or " Ithiopia " in collaboration with Fefe Typical . His message is made of choruses and verses intelligent , sincere , carry a memory. For the record , he preached for a little over 20 years Rasta speech, and received a little light when the album came out quite Selecta were torn in search of French inspired texts and thousand leagues of the star system . Always driven by the desire to have a strong organization and a good foundation in everything he does , it is with a constant ardor and unwavering faith that advance brother in his love of music , an essential source of life and energy , this despite the many tribulations that could cross his path... #####ONE LOVE#####
