Born and raised in Westmoreland, Jamaica. He became intrigued with the art of "selecting" (DJ-ing), at the early age of 15, as he attended many dancehall parties in the area where he lived. In 1994, Selectah Genius got his first hand experience being a "selector" (disc jockey), as he played with a sound system, (owned by his cousin) called Prosperous Disco. 

His move to Clarendon, provided him with his first job as a "selector" with a sound system called Silver Stone. Silver Stone, was well recognized for their vintage style of music through out Jamaica. This experience, gave Selectah Genius, the knowledge and versatility for providing the desired musical experience, to music lovers of all ages and nationalities. 

On the journey to becoming his own brand, Selectah Genius was sort out as a "new breed" of "selectors". His flair for selecting, in genres such as; Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Rock and Roll, Jazz and Soul, made him more desirable. His talent was duly noted and coveted by various sound systems such as OTB SOUND, SHAOLIN MOBILE SOUND and DOLLA SIGN SOUND (from St. Mary).

As he strove to further his love for music and DJ-ing, he became part of a team, of "selectors", on the biggest, mobile sound system in Jamaica, called NITE TRAXX MOBILE. While working with Nite Traxx, Selectah Genius played along-side some of the top sound systems in jamaica such as, STONE LOVE, METRO MEDIA, BODYGUARD, SWATCH INTL. and JAMROCK, just to name a few. 

Since leaving Jamaica, Selectah Genius' never ending love for music and DJ-ing, continues to expand. He further demonstrates this love for music, by his commitment to streaming live online, several times per week and providing mix CD's for the listening pleasure of his audience. As he was Affiliated with MADVIBEZ RADIO, MADVIBEZ MEDIA INC and KRUSH YAAD RADIO and at present WILDOUT RADIO as a Broadcaster and Engineer, I’m also working with a few other Media Houses.

Having just celebrated 37 years in the industry King Addies now has new talent that are keeping the legacy going. Selectors in America and Jamaica such as living legend Danny Dread, NecoGlock, Killa Boo, Wynterfresh, SwugeeDon, Sojie Vybez, Syndicate, Viper, Obi Roots and King Pin who have won multiple clashes and also juggle SHELL stages  alongside the biggest artists in a the game all over the world.

Madness Muv, is a dynamic music producer, DJ, and mix engineer from Trinidad & Tobago.
