Seth Troxler’s agenda setting Play It Say It label is back with another massive release, this time coming from a group of Detroit heavyweights. Featuring a lead track from Andy Toth & Billy Love, it is packed with essential remixes from Chuck Daniels, Andrés & Midnite Jackers.

Andy Toth was part of Detroit Grand Pubahs and Billy Love is a singer from Detroit who added vocals to seminal tracks by Underground Resistance. Together they have help their city’s electronic music earn its enviable reputation on the world stage, and here Billy tells a story informed by his time as a male revue dancer at a legendary strip club called Watts Club Mozambique.

The standout original here, which had a low-key release a few years ago, ’Thrillseekers,’ is an off-beat house number with fresh synth stabs and popping drums that come with steamy vocals. It’s future facing and soul infused and is the sort of characterful cut that will mark the highlight of any set.

Up first with the remixes, Sample Recordings main man Chuck Daniels shows off his Detroit credentials with a driving and late night, smooth and seductive take that is filled with warm machine soul. Pre-release this classic Detroit groove has been getting lots of support from Eats Everything, Riva Star and Seth Troxler.

The second sizzling remix comes from Detroit’s Andrés, a key artist on Moodymann’s Mahogany label who has put out three seminal albums as well as many killer jams on his own La Vida. His hip hop indebted style is here in all its glory once more, with loose and rough drums jammed out on an MPC and interwoven with gorgeous jazz chords and a noodling bassline.

Already released and doing lots of damage on worldwide dance floors, the Midnite Jackers remix is nearly eight minutes of rough and ready, attitude riddled house with fat bass, rude vocals and a wonky feel that will add plenty of freakiness to any party. This is a Detroit heavy single featuring some of the Motor City’s finest talents, and is set to be one of the big record of the summer without a doubt.

Mind Against, the duo of Alex and Federico Fognini, provide a special, extended podcast for the Afterlife Voyage series’ sixth instalment. Opening with the crisp, melodic grooves of Kettenkarussell and Levon Vincent, they seamlessly progress from slick and lean house cuts towards their trademark, celestial techno sound, occasionally offering flashes of their peak-time power through bursts of white noise or mesmerising crescendos. The Eighth Addition of the Vol 2. ABS Podcast series warmly welcomes Dutch-house specialist, Toman. With a super special mix on the horizon it features 100% of his own unreleased tracks and collaborations.

Now based in Amsterdam, he moved to the Dutch capital in early 2018 — and has barely had time to pause for breath since. A producer who boasts an impressively prolific streak, Toman started his musical journey at an early age by learning to play the drums. In recent times, His unique take on house and techno has led him to much-renowned outlets such as @we_r_house, @pivrecords, @cyclicrecords, and @blindvisionrecords. In terms of gigs for 2019, Toman is scheduled to play at the Easter Awakenings alongside some of the biggest names in the game, as well as @straf_werk Festival in the middle of August. 

Smoothly transitioning from minimal through to the deeper side of house, Toman’s diverse musical outlook is refreshingly hard to categorise and evident through his mix, where he boasts tracks scheduled for release later this year alongside some unsigned gems.

Enjoy a bottomless hour of the wonky house specialist.

Finn is a young, talented and passionate DJ, Finn Eddy, is slowly but surely making his mark on London's underground music scene; playing sets that have caught the eye of promoters and DJs alike. Finn is fairly new to the scene, only discovering his passion 2 years ago - when he joined internet radio station Mode FM. 

Finn’s sound began with rolling tech-house and techno. However, over the last year, Finn has developed a keen ear for deep house, minimal and minimal-tech - taking influence from all over Europe as well as London's Fuse imprint. 

Over the last year, Finn has had the pleasure of performing in Amsterdam, Ireland and of course all over London; most recently, making his debut Shoreditch's 93 feet east with an outstanding set. 

The next step for Finn is production; if his music taste and collection are anything to go by you should be extremely excited about what is to come. 2019 has been a good year for Finn, however, 2020 is going to be bigger and better - so keep a firm eye on his journey.
