Erased Tapes artists and friends Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm have separately carved out a musical career that defies genres both with their unique live shows and a loyal fan base that’s always eager to hear what their prolific output will bring. 

Their latest collaborative 2-track release ‘Life Story Love and Glory’ is a live improv affair on two pianos, recorded in 2012 at Nils’s Durton Studio in Berlin. Fans may wonder why they have waited until 2015 to release these tracks, but having revealed a new website www.arnaldsfrahm.com you may think this may not be the end to their musical story this year. 

“We would meet in Reykjavik or Berlin with the intention to share some days off work, hiking, swimming or eating pizza. That is great for a couple days, but after a while we would always end up back in the studio, fiddling with synths or pianos.” – Nils Frahm

The tracks operate as studies in unresolved repetition: the groove never explodes — it tightens, trapping the listener in a loop.
Every element undergoes a selection process before being allowed to exist; nothing is ornamental.
The structure is skeletal: dry percussion, micro-variations, and negative space charged with tension.

Das zweite Release des noch jungen Labels @delightsearthly steht in den Startlöchern. Um kulturelle und vielfältige Musik zu veröffentlichen, haben sich die Macher für eine EP des Kanadiers @kora-musique, der bereits auf Kindisch publizierte, entschieden. Am 16. Januar 2017 soll seine Deep-House-Kollektion „Fragile“ in digitaler Version erscheinen. Gleich der Opener der EP, „Vayu“, ist ein wunderschön strukturiertes Werk geworden, das von einer melodischen Wärme überschwemmt wird. Kora zeigt mit der Produktion eine gewisse Leichtigkeit und eine zarte Annäherung an Drums, während arabischer Gesang die Nummer abrundet. (...) Ein Remix kommt von @timur-sardarov alias Timujin. Be Svendsen gets set to release the enchanting Twilight in Tankwa on Rebellion following his successful remix of NU’s Man O To on sister label Crosstown Rebels. Remix treatment comes courtesy of Berlin native Nico Stojan. 
 
Twilight in Tankwa is a mystical and musical journey that Be Svendsen explains “is the result of decades long intimate relationship with outdoor rhythmic dance experience. The foundation of the track is rooted in a synth hook from the early 50's. The vocal, inspired by a barbershop quartet, work to give it the character of a true desert hymn."
 
The remix comes from Nico Stojan who twists a fresh melody into the original over driving undertones. Having honed his musical style as resident at the infamous Bar25 in Berlin, he has also released on labels like Highgrade, Connaisseur and Upon You records.
 
Equally alluring, second original track Scarecrow was brought about by AYAWAKE who wrote and recorded the vocals. He generously passed on to Be who honored it as the crown work of his cowboy-tech-tribute to the Ennio Morricone soundtracks of the late 60's. 
Be Svendsen aka Lasse Bruhn Svendsen broke through into the international scene in 2014 with a series of productions and enchanting live performances at some of the most avant garde places to play on the earth, such as BOOM festival, Fusion, Burning Man, Symbiosis, Rainbow Serpent and AfrikaBurn.

Our new premiere comes from none other than DAVI delivering an amazing remix on Monolink's 'Burning Sun'
The song tells the story of himself being reborn, becoming human again while in a lucid dream state. With his roots in the world of acoustic music, Monolink expertly pairs traditional song writing with a pulsating electronic groove, in a narrative that combines his superb vocals, with cosmic guitars, piano, and powerful synths.

DAVI takes the track further into an oasis of desert tech, teasing and dubbing the vocals over a relentless tribal beat.

Wastelands sets the precedence for the EP with its melancholic ambience and poignant lyrics delivered from one half of the duo Rami. Flamma adopts heavier instrumental sections that create an eerie atmosphere with a pensive and dramatic build up. 

Brooklyn-based nomads Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe together form the DJ and production partnership of Bedouin. ​Since its incarnation, they’ve achieved notable success, with Mixmag naming them their number one Breakthrough Act of 2017. After the great success of Fanaya Part 1 being played and supported by Sebastien Leger, Hernan Cattaneo, Megablast, Rodriguez Jr, David Mayer, + many more, we decide to make more remixes of this wonderful tune.

For this reason this unique vocal track had to be remixed by Robbie´s favorites producers: Zakir and Fulltone delivering this fire remix package of magical sounds and emotional elements.

Fulltone remix appears as more dark emotional affair featuring space synth sounds always with beautiful music influence as always Fulltone does. We love his music, always quality deep edge vibes.

Zakir remix blown us aways the first time we listen, it has a powerful groove with stunning percussion, acidic bassline, trippy melodic arpeggios and vocal glitches that create a funny jammin story between the vocal and the groove. All around a great interpretation very different form the original.
