Modesty Is A Virtue (feat. Perel)

In a world where noise imposes itself as a constant, I transform sound into a refuge—a path to find balance amid the relentless and demanding motion. Since 2019, I have explored sound as both a language and a space where forces converge, seeking to become a channel of connection between the inner and the collective. In my sonic exploration, I dive into the rawest textures—the tribal and the primitive—into repetition as a sequence that transports us to altered states of consciousness. For me, the dancefloor is not just a place of escape, but a living organism where every element plays its role: the dancers, the organizers, the music creators—all part of the same mechanism. Nothing exists in isolation; everything is part of a circuit where vibrations move, transform, and return amplified. Each encounter becomes an exchange that expands my vision and nourishes my purpose.

Mme Charlie is a Berlin based DJ and an inimitable, magnetic figure in the underground scene. Her sets flow from percussive minimalism to deeper, telluric and hypnotic techno. Whether digital or vinyl, Mme Charlie enters a seductive dialogue with the crowd: pulsing, spicy, mysterious.

Her performances have spanned underground festivals and intimate events in Germany and France, including collaborations with collectives such as Abnormal Gate and Rakt Records and Sause 030.

"After years of crushing on DJs I finally became one myself. Realizing that I spent my whole life looking up to boys doing the music without ever imagining myself in that role was a shock.

I came across WWA and BKiND, being hooked by their allure and mission: to make a shift and break up old structures.

It took time to build this mix, as I noticed that almost my entire library was made by men. It felt very freeing to shift the energy and focus only on feminine and FLINTA artists for once. Not because I want to separate anything but because in a world that is still so unequal it feels like a relief to let the balance tilt for a moment. 

Feminine energy lives in cycles, creativity and mystery. And while preparing this podcast I kept finding so much beauty and emotional finesse in these productions."
