Producer, musician, dj, photographer, Brando Lupi’s influences range anywhere from post industrial-rock, experimental electronic to modern classical. The Italian native has had a history working alongside a number of talented artists. He's the owner of the label Detune Records,founded in 2000. Brando’s releases have been picked up by the likes of Orange Groove , Kompakt , Samuvar , Dewtone Recordings , Mental Groove , Detune Records and Elettronica Romana. He has recently composed a score for the movie “La Solitudine Dei Numeri Primi”, distributed by Medusa,with the soundtrack signed by Mike Patton ,leader of Faith No More,and presented at the 67th Venice Film Festival. He currently resides in Rome, spreading experimental spiritual frequencies across the world.

To celebrate the end of summer we looked for something special for the podcast. After searching high and low, we found a woman hiding in Odessa, Ukraine that plays dub-techno. We thought this was perfect for the Monument, to give everyone some good feelings and proper vibes. 

Olesia Elfa(@dj_elfa) is the talented dj from Odessa, Ukraine. Her musical career started in Moscow 2009. Experimenting with sounds soon she came to the various shades of techno music. Elfa is well known for her good sense of music and excellent musical taste. Now she is making moves in her own production of experimental, ambient, techno and dub techno music.

We asked for a Q&A, but she simply replied that she doesn't answer questions, that here music does the speaking.... Oh well :)

We don’t often invite people to run the FACT Mix gauntlet more than once – but if anyone gets to bend the rules, it’s Klock.

The Berlin titan last graced these parts back in 2009, filing a muscular FACT Mix entirely in keeping with his reputation as Berghain’s bosher-in-chief. The last five years have seen him consolidate his reputation as a standard bearer of refined, take-no-prisoners techno; his eight-hour-plus sets continue to shake Berghain’s foundations, and, although his output has slowed substantially, he’s still found time to knock out the occasional release on Ostgut Ton. His Klockworks label continues to tick along, too - new releases from fellow FACT mixer Trevino and Etapp Kyle are imminent, plus, if a forthcoming stint of “studio time” comes good, potentially more new music from Klock himself.

Those expecting pulverising 4×4 might be surprised by Klock’s sophomore FACT mix – a “deeper, dreamy” collection, bookended by two vintage ambient tracks and shot through with wonder. Unreleased Klockworks material features, as do cuts from the likes of Function, Ben Sims, Surgeon, Orgue Electronique and Lucy. The mix is a studio-recorded affair – something Klock sees as a very different kettle of fish to playing out: “Club mixes are obviously more spontaneous and capture the vibe of a specific night, while working in the studio offers other possibilities like re-editing tracks and layering tunes more precisely, which I’ve done a lot of that here.” Set your watches…

It’s been a short while since we had our last release, so we decided it’s time to come out from hibernation. We received a promo from Concept of Thrill, a DJ and producer from Poland. He did a good job by making this interesting LIVE SET for us, so it’s well worth sharing.

As mention below, we could expect to see upcoming releases from the artist on Sonntag Morgen, Circular Limited and Cenotaph Rec. in the near future.

Q: Where are you from, and what inspired you to make techno?
A: I'm based in Warsaw, PL. My inspiration, it depends on my mood and that what is happening around me.

Q: Why techno?
A: At this point I can say this is my way of life and best way to express myself.

MNMT 77: Concept Of Thrill (Live)

The 18th chapter with Shaded Explorer (Live)

Emanuele Pertoldi was born in a small village in the North East of Italy. After releasing music with his own name and founding different projects like Evasion Room Records (with Riccardo D'Agostini), in 2013 he started a new alias, Shaded Explorer, with the aim to represent himself in a more intimate way. The description of the project says: "Shaded Explorer lives in a place where the music is hidden behind a dense fog and dreams are suffocated by an unpromising reality. This stimulates him to continue his research of magical places around the world, being them ethereal landscapes, deep cenotes or blue seas. In those places he discovered and created new sounds, melodies and rhythms that melted together create soundscapes for escape." 
The first release is an album on Eclipsemusic that was also played live by him (just with hardware) at Club To Club in Turin, one of the most representative festivals in Italy. Following this concept in 2014 he founded his own intimate imprint Shaded Explorations, released the second album on Silent Season and an ep on Kabalion (Hypnus parent label). With his projects, he played at Tresor (DE), Le Batofar (FR), The Frag (ITA), Fiese Remise (DE), Griessmuehle (DE), Tribal (UK), Sala X (SPA), BHo! (ITA), and other parties, clubs and festivals like Club 2 Club, iClaut, Homepage etc.
Live act recorded during the New Faces Night at Tresor club (Berlin) hosted by Stojche on the 29/04/15.

PL: Emanuele Pertoldi urodził się w małej wiosce w północno-wschodniej części Włoch. Producent pierwotnie wydawał muzykę pod własnym imieniem i nazwiskiem, współtworzył również projekt Records Evasion Room z Riccardo D’Agostini. 
Chcąc zaprezentować się w nieco bardziej intymny i zakulisowy sposób, muzyk w 2013 roku uruchomił nowy alias – Shaded Explorer. Oto charakterystyka projektu: "Shaded Explorer zamieszkuje miejsca, gdzie muzyka kryje się za gęstą mgłą, a marzenia tłumione są przez impasową rzeczywistość. Pobudza go to do poszukiwań magicznych miejsc na całym świecie - nieziemskich krajobrazów, głębokich jaskiń czy błękitnych mórz. W tych miejscach odkrywa i tworzy nowe dźwięki, brzmienia, melodie i rytmy, które wspólnie kreują muzyczną rajzę, w którą można uciec." 
Producent ma na swoim koncie wydawnictwa w takich wytwórniach jak Silent Season oraz Kabalion (siostrzany label Hypnus Records). 
Artysta podczas swoich występów na żywo tworzy liveact’y, nagrywane za pomocą sprzętu hardware. Podcast ten jest także prezentacją muzyki za pomocą instrumentów. Nagrany został w berlińskim klubie Tresor podczas występu muzyka na wydarzeniu New Faces Night - 29 kwietnia 2015 r.
