Bereits Mitte der 1990er begannen Ricardo Linke und Daniel Päßler gemeinsam mit Musik zu experimentieren. Nach ein paar Jahren verloren sie sich dann jedoch wieder aus den Augen, bis sie sich 2003 durch einen glücklichen Zufall wieder trafen. Mit neuer Energie und neuen Ideen formten sie 2005 ihr Projekt „Microtrauma”. Der Sound der beiden Sachsen ist melodiös verspielt und zugleich technoid und erinnert an Acts wie Extrawelt oder Dominik Eulberg. Die EPs und Remixe des Duos erschien bereits auf Labels Parquet, Herzblut oder ihrer Homebase Traumschallplatten.

Nun haben Microtrauma den 23. Jeden Tag ein Set Podcast zusammengestellt. Viel Spaß damit zum Start in die neue Woche!

With “Sisters Of Deep“ he gives his debut on Einmusika this summer. Uplifting synth chords and a pulsating bouncy bass under a dreamy and subtle voice and a break that will blow your mind away. We added another signature with the remix of Arjuna Schiks, more pumping but in the same mood. It’s like a sundown which makes you crying - this one should never end. “Love Devastation“ is a timeless house production combined with a kind of downbeat electronica and mighty strings. Perfect for teasing a crowd, perfect to let them stay and better for guiding them home.

This week we're shining a light on Brooklyn based Frenchman, Max Pask aka Maxime. Pask curates a finely crafted, synth-led noir sound and has just dropped an EP with Meant label head Remain which was released on the label this month. Pask also holds strong ties with NYC's Throne of Blood for which him and Remain have already released a fine outing on. 

If you've got an hour spare any time soon then we've got the perfect way to you to spend it. All you need to do is click play on the mix below and you can spend just over 60 minutes surrounded by a mix put together by the excellent Pask. Starting off strong and not dipping for even a second, while you tune in you can read on as Max tunes out over the sheer ridiculousness of our line of questioning.

Jacques Renault is back, yo. "Psyched Up," off the forthcoming Talk System EP, takes all the sleaze and shimmer of the disco edits he made his name on, only a touch faster and more driven than we're traditionally accustomed to. This Sisterhood edit retools it further, adding heft to the kicks and bending the backbone of the track into a weighty breakdown halfway through. The EP arrives via Jacques' own Let's Play House label, which has seen cracking releases as of late by the likes of Antipodean BR favs Fantastic Man and Francis Inferno Orchestra; by pure chance, the latter of which followed up from the Sisterhood boys at our Tief session last year.

ESPRIT 空想 - summer night

The fourth and final installment in Future Classic’s Aprés vinyl series, dedicated to its weekly Sunday afternoon sessions of the same name that has hosted guests including Brennan Green, Joakim, Mock & Toof, Lovefingers, Aeroplane, Canyons, Jamie Lloyd, Padded Cell, Idjut Boys, Foolish Felix, Todd Terje, Sidwho?, Loin Brothers, Jazzanova, Karsten John, Jimi Polar, Marcus Worgull, The Revenge, Yam Who?, Peret Mako, Arto Mwambé, Move D, Roland Appel, Dave Aju, Trus' Me, Jacques Renault, Will Saul & Woolfy to name a few with residents Nathan McLay & Chad Gillard.

The vinyl version of volume four features music by Lithuania's Mario Basanov and remixes by Arithmatix!
