Since its inception in 2014, Lossless has churned out distinctive and forward-thinking releases from a selected group of rising producers such as Lover over Entropy, Trikk, label heads Thomas Herb and Mathias Schober as SBTH and many more. For their latest offering the label is introducing a new talent, an electronic music duo formed of Jaś Miszewski & Alexander Inggs by the name of ATELIER. Backed up by remixes from the label heads themselves and highly in-demand Perel, the duo’s debut EP ‘Something To Fill An Hour’ is a promising prelude to a full-length player which will be released early next year.

Dipped into midly paced breaks and shrouded in mystery, Perel’s take on the original nods to the ‘80s synthwave nostalgia with its laser driven synth progression giving the track a heightened sense of character while the grumbling bassline plunges the listener deeper into a dead-eyed inertia. Jas' enchanting vocal waves serve as a wonderful counterpoint to the darkly evocative atmosphere, imbuing this piece of music with warm and kompaktesque sweetness. Dramatic, engaging and well suited for the 4 A.M dance floor.

PREMIERE: Atelier - Something To Fill An Hour (Perel Remix)[Lossless]

NTS mainstay Kasra V joins Firehouse Records with a sublime 6 track EP. Featuring a remix from Mike Servito and Justin Cudmore, and a collaboration with Dopplereffekt’s Rudolf Klorzeiger and To Nhan.
“I’ve always admired Dopplereffekt's work, which is monumental to techno, so to have them on board for a collaboration is immense. I like to think of this EP as new millennium post proto trance/IDM.”- Kasra V
A common thread weaves through Kasra’s thoughtful Akasa EP, each track adding an extra element to the journey. The EP opens up with the collaboration with Motor City group Dopplereffekt. "Atropa
Belladonna" is a beatless beauty that flows effortlessly into the breakbeat rhythm of "Bloom". "Akasa" follows with its dreamy synths. On the flipside "Otaku" delves delicately into IDM territory and "Inferno" finishes off the EP with its techno leanings, glitchy bleeps and blips that spill into lilting synths. Servito and Cudmore
provide their own take on Bloom, stripping it back and creating an intergalactic track with a deeper bassline.
Iranian-born London-based producer Kasra V has been steadily rising through the ranks. His show on London station NTS and his DJ sets showcase his broad musical taste and his ability to seamlessly blend genres- from old school beats to middle-eastern grooves to acid and trance and beyond. His productions are equally diverse, releasing on Make Love In Public Spaces and Feelings.

A field of red lips. Swaying, swelling, seeping. Harsh sounds fall from the sky and perish in the thick undergrowth. Fragrant, glistening nectar exiting the red mouths, dripping smoothly down on the leaves below. The earth quivers. Soon they'll be gone, the red lips. Whispers of death in the cool morning breeze. This is what excites them so. Red soil, blood and ash. Fearless bees buzzing with life drink greedily and are rewarded with silence. The sound of translucent wings losing momentum; minuscule sawtooth waves morphing into sines. The red field listens with hunger.
