FT: Mega Man 9 - Galaxy Man[VRC6]

Yo! My good budd @jansenem decided to make an acapella version of Endless Possibility using Vocaloid, and in turn I decided to hijack it and turn it into an actual thing. So it's an acapella + remix fusion, with an actual bunch of effort put into it.

Took a while to finish this, there have been enough unnecessary break times, but here it is. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed listening to it. In fact, I might just be trying to work on more vocal stuff in the future, gotta expand in all these fields and such. Au revoir!

Endless Possibility [Miku & Chip Remix - Feat JansenM]

This is my arrangement of the Mount Wario theme, taken from the soundtrack of Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, and originally composed by Shiho Fujii, Atsuko Asahi, Ryo Nagamatsu, and Yasuaki Iwata for Nintendo. This is my favorite from the entire OST, it's magnificently set up as a multi-parts race backing song, and has this speed vibe that pumps you up !

I had the great pleasure to work with 3 other musicians on this one : I first asked Matthew Mukerjee, from Tetrimino if I was okay to play bass, and we quickly discussed adding more live instruments, namely violin, which would be played by Michaela Nachtigall, also from Tetrimino, and brass, by Marc Papeghin ! On the mastering side, this time I left the song into the hands of one of my local friends, who runs Studio Karma in Marseilles. The project took a few months to reach total completion, but heck it was worth it. Enjoy !

Super Mario Galaxy is a good game. Gusty Garden Galaxy is a good song.

Made in Famitracker using VRC6+MMC5 expansions. Also overclocked to 400 Hz, which means that you probably don't want to try playing this on a real NES.

Personally I feel like this is one of my best pieces of work.
I got stuck close to the end trying to figure out the second part of the drop. at first the beat had a more dubsteppy feel, but the transition into it was really jarring, so I just changed it back to a trap beat. The transition back into stereotypical 8-bit at the very end might also be a little sudden, I don't really know.
