This is my entry into the Beat Collective Challenge set on 21-11-2022 where we are given two or three samples and challenged to incorporate them into an original track.

This month the samples were provided by Rose Wintergreen:-
- S1 vocal singing wordlessly (processed with Magic Dice)
- S2 is a beat I made using recordings I made of a tram, my front door and house keys
- S3 vocal spoken - no processing

Sample 1 is the 'ahhhs' in the opening few bars, the main breakdown and then I chopped it up and placed it throughout the 2nd half of the track after the breakdown so it makes a rhythmic pattern from the short chops of the 'ahhhs'.

Sample 2, sound samples, is just in the opening three seconds of the track. I intend to develop it a bit and use it in the breakdown and the outro.

Sample 3, vocal I've used throughout in full, chopped, reversed and any way I could use or change them!!

Friedrich Nietzsche was a German philosopher. His ideas are still helpful to this day, the beliefs he taught are incredibe. But to have a drive the way he did, one that marches on and on is unreal. It’s something that I certainly want to emulate. 

King Henry the 6th fell into total misery after he was plagued with catatonic schizophrenia. Also known as the child king, definitely somebody committed to education. He is the Founder of Oxford and was known as a saint after he died. He took the throne at only 9 months old. Personally, I like his name. 

Nietzsche and Henry the 6th are polar opposites. But inspirational in their own ways. It’s important we build bridges in love and this fictional partnership is an example of exactly that, the connecting of two different sources of inspiration together into one unit, an awesome alliance for anyone trying to get in touch with their roots.
