Hell Yeah's debut Buena Onda compilation proved hugely successful. It alskept people drenched in exotic dance floor sounds while the pandemic has kept everyone apart. Now the Berlin-based party is back and on a mission to redefine what Balearic means with a first-ever vinyl-only sampler featuring exclusive, unreleased tunes and remixes compiled by Marco Gallerani and Gallo from brothers around the world.

The a-side is all about new kids on the block: Australian cyborg disco don Kayroy appeared on the label in 2020 with his Imaginary Expeditions EP and now links with his friend Jaspar Robinson, a dreamer with his head amongst the stars. He provides the vocals which speak of an astronaut lost in space and aching for a missing loved one while sombre chords and downbeat bass make for a beautifully longing groove. It's a blue-eyed Balearic classic.
 
The up-and-coming Italian @Feel-Fly of labels like Internasjonal then goes widescreen with his 'Esperanto'. The chords shimmer, the baseline percolates and the guitar riffs arc up to the heavens for some late-night intergalactic bliss.

The flip side features more mature and established artists: label regular Max Essa offers a remix of The Vendetta Suite 'Neon Secrets,' which has naive Eastern melodies and rueful 80s chords with a subtle new age feel that dumps you right on the beach at sundown.

Last of all come Chris Coco and Micko Roche with true-school Balearic classic complete with cicada-like shakers, mellifluous Spanish guitar licks, flutes and soft, frothy, rolling beats that break like waves on a sun-kissed Mediterranean coastline.

Your Planet Is Next is the nom de guerre of one Arvid Wretman – multidisciplinary artist, live performer and noise maker from Stockholm, Sweden. Since his 2014 debut cassette under the YPIN alias, through two floor-optimised solo EPs for Studio Barnhus, this self-proclaimed “Mr. Music” has terrorised us with the most gloriously disturbed electronic funk, all while cultivating his puzzling YPIN persona: part failed pop-star, part extraterrestrial threat. On his first full-length release for Studio Barnhus, emotions range from acidic romance to pure paranoia. Rave, screw, electro and chill vibes are all combined on an album that plays like an exhilarating journey through the mind of a mad genius.

Since 2014, Public Release has been enlisting the raw, trademark groove of Richard Sen on a variety of now- renowned remixes. Label boss Eug has cited him in numerous interviews as being one of his all-time favourite producers, so it was inevitable that a solo EP would eventually materialize. That time has finally come, and in the Spring of 2022, the UK legend drops his solo EP “My Definition of Funk” on Public Release.

These three raw, gritty, hard-hitting, peak-time tracks are quintessential Richard Sen, combining the energy and influences of post-punk, breaks, and house in one sturdy sonic package.

Throughout club music history, the combination of vocals and groove remains a vital element. Countless anthems have prompted singing on the floor, and have raised arms in the air. There might have been times where vocals mattered less, but right now they are probably more needed than ever.

Tom & Rose are well aware of all that, and they were willing to place themselves and their music in a tradition of dancefloor euphoria, universal messages and a bit of bittersweetness. Together they created these tunes as a testament to better times gone and ahead.

"How Wrong" is the sound of heartbreak, albeit locked in a UKG tinged sureshot that swings back and forth with ease between jubilant piano bliss and monolithic bass weight. And it kicks like a mule. "Lose Yourself" is both an ageless acid slam and a joyful paean dedicated to all nights that should never end. While the No Hope Dub is designed to be the soundtrack for blowing a nocturnal kiss to everyday sorrows.

Also included: complementary remixes by Eluize and Massimiliano Pagliara that come up with a different take, but a similar vision.

Serbian born, Los Angeles raised producer and DJ, Masha Mar, will deliver her debut full length EP this November, inaugurating the new Southern California based imprint, Night Prism.
Masha Mar is a prominent figure in the US scene as a DJ, event organiser with her Dig Deeper and Take It Outside parties, and on the airwaves with her radio show on NTS and Dublab. Her raw house material has so far found a home on the likes Sisters of Sound, Femme House, and Dusk Recordings and here she marks a
milestone in her production career with her debut EP. Across the three-tracker Mar fuses elements ranging from Italo to house to dub, working with live drums alongside drum machines and synths like the Roland TR-808, Juno 60, Moog Voyager and more. The project will come via the new Night Prism imprint and party coming out of Southern California. Co-founder of Bouquet Records Bailey and crew-member Marcel seek to honour the diverse community that gathers for dance music. As a prism, the party & label refracts, reflects, and aspires to represent the broad spectrum of music and identity.
Title-cut ‘Virgil’s Dream’ leads with a feel-good disco feel merging organic percussion and a crunchy drum machine workout alongside hazy, hypnotic vocals, hooky string sequences and squelchy, acid-tinged tones. An instrumental mix is offered up to follow, laying focus on the raw drums and intricate synth work alone.
‘Extended Release’ follows next to open the B-Side, built around thunderous drums, an Italo-inspired bassline, and entrancing synths to take you on a dynamic, dance floor focused journey. Closing out the EP on a deeper tip is ‘City of Refuge’, employing an electro-leaning 808 drum groove and gnarly bass hook alongside bubbling, dubbed- out tones, ethereal vocal chants, and cinematic strings.

'Sporadic, wild and free he has never been one to be tamed, placed in a box and told how to play. From his youthful days spent painting the mean streets of London through to his acid laden take on old school club music he has amassed a reputation as one of the best in Britain' (Ransom Note 2018).

Fetish clubs and festivals; dark basements and back rooms; disco pubs and super-clubs. Richard has done it all, globally. His authenticity, experience and 30 year history in dance music map out a unique story.

Richard began DJing in 1989 with a residency at the infamous Crazy Club at Busbys and The Astoria (London). Ecstasy, acid house and frequent trips to New York, visiting his heroes at Nu Groove and Strictly Rhythm and searching for Chicago obscurities and Loft classics, provided the catalyst for Richard's dance music addiction. In 1993, Sen began working as a music buyer at the iconic London second-hand record shop, Music and Video Exchange. Since then he has amassed a vast collection and is recognised as an elder statesman, an educator and one of the leading experts of dance music in the world.

Richard's genre-fluid selection seamlessly flows back and forth between: old and new; dark and light; retro and futuristic disco, Italo, wonky house, electro, breakbeat and deep techno.

Sen has played all over the world in the past 30 years, including legendary clubs such as Sabresonic, Blood Sugar and Haywire (Andrew Weatherall’s club nights during the 90s and 2000s), Sign of the Times (UK 90s), Heavenly Social (UK 90s), Fabric (London), Sub Club (Glasgow), Robert Johnson (Germany), Air (Tokyo), D-Edge (Sao Paulo) and Cielo (NYC), and festivals including, Creamfields (UK), The Big Chill (UK), Pukkelpop (Belgium), 10 Days Off (Belgium) and Vibes on a Summer's Day (Australia).

Sen turned his talents to music production and recording in 1997. He has released more recently under his own name and under the guises of Bronx Dogs (1997-2003) and Padded Cell (2005-2012). He has released singles on his own label, Darkness Is Your Candle and for like-minded labels, Klasse Wrecks, Emotional Especial and Public Release. Sen's remix and production work have included respected artists such as: Bryan Ferry, John Grant, Unloved (David Holmes' band), LCD Soundsystem, Saint Etienne and The Jungle Brothers. Padded Cell's 'Signal Failure' single was also chosen by Francois Kevorkian to be used in the biggest selling video game of all time - Grand Theft Auto 4. Their music was also used in the U.S. HBO comedy show Eastbound and Down. In 2012, Richard released a compilation, This Ain't Chicago on Strut Records. This was a ground-breaking selection of obscure, early UK house music, widely regarded as the first retrospective of its kind. The promo video was listed in Beatport's top ten house documentaries of all time.

Richard remains passionate yet professional with impeccable taste. He currently has a bi-monthly radio show for Charlie Bones' station, Do!! You!!! (www.doyou.world) which allows him to narrate his history, explore his vast collection and introduce his eclectic taste to a new generation. 

Still a fan at heart, his favourite DJs who have inspired him, who he has gained support and respect from, and who have played his music include: David Mancuso, DJ Harvey, Andrew Weatherall and 'Evil' Eddie Richards.
