Because we firmly believe in the words of Zappa that “writing about music is like dancing about architecture” we’ll leave you to establish exactly what kind of music this compilation contains. We only hope that you will join us on a magical floor of Mo:Dem Festival and share that familiar feeling when rays of sunshine caress your face and the smell of dust is filling your nostrils or when you’re squishing the soggy mud between your toes and cold raindrops are cooling your sweaty body… and you just can’t stop dancing. In this episode of  the State Alchemy Presents series we are happy to be able to showcase the funktastic work of Aurelien Dornier, known for his production as Hypnotic Peafowl. 

Through major influences of jazz and classical music Hypnotic Peafowl has created a unique journey into the psygressive/zenonesque style bringing forth tremendous amounts of emotion through his use of orchestral elements, classical composition and deep textured atmospheres.
Having previously released on multiple labels such as Zenon records, Universal Tribe Rec, ADN Music and Hadra Rec to name a few; he is most certainly a name to be on the look out for in the coming years!

Sensient’s music is deep, intelligent, and progressive. It absorbs the influence of many musical styles (minimal, techno, breaks, glitch, jazz fusion). He has released eight solo albums and countless compilation tracks on respected labels. He has also remixed and collaborated with numerous heavyweights of the scene, including Freedom Fighters,  Ace Ventura, Perfect Stranger and Symbolic. 

In 2003, Sensient created Zenon Records, which has now developed into one of the world’s most respected underground electronic labels. Zenon has formed a musical movement that has heavily influenced the worldwide alternative festival scene.
