Orange - Hu 

"Dieser Laut „Hu“ ist der Beginn und das Ende aller Laute. Alle Dinge und Wesen rufen diesen Namen. Ein Name, den kein Vok und keine Religion als ihr Eigentum beanspruchen kann. " (Inayat Khan) 
Auf ihrer Reise durch die Welt der Klänge haben Orange auf ihrer CD "Chenebua" die Tiefe der Naturtöne ausgelotet und auf ihrer Live-Cd "Kala" das grosse Jetzt gefeiert. Die neue CD "Hu" kombiniert nun elektronische Sounds mit eingängigen Perkussionsrhythmen. Ausgefeilte Didgeridoo-Linien verflechten sich mit Synthesizerlegenden. Mit einem selbstgebauten Instrument aus meterlangen Klangröhren genannt "Schlappofon" werden Melodiebögen gespannt auf denen der Sänger mit Lauten jongliert als wären sie der Wind im Allgäu oder die Wellen im Ozean. Aber auch tiefsinnige Texte treffen hier auf athmosphärische Weite. Unter anderem finden sich Live-Mitschnitte vom Herzberg-Festival oder dem Woodstock-OpenAir Dornstadt auf "Hu", die die Studioaufnahmen perfekt ergänzen. 
Auf "Hu" ist es Orange gelungen, zeitgemässe Weltmusik tanzbar zu machen, deutsche Texte mit Phantasiesprache zu verbinden und für eine knappe Stunde eine Welt zu öffnen, die einem das Lachen ins Gesicht zaubert.

Monks was composed by B. Ashra in collaboration with Travis McMurphy for a performance of the Kung Fu Academy Berlin.

Monks Part 1 will enchant with its ethereal electronic sounds that are interwoven with overtone singing, gongs, rainstick, Tibetan horns and acoustic guitar sounds.
One feels progressively relaxed is automatically reminded of an East Asian scenery.Only after 26 minutes into the piece a pleasant groove is slowly manifesting.

The second track - Monks Part 2 - is a very deep meditative drone / dark ambient atmosphere with sound collages of nature sounds and Buddhist bells. You're facing a fresh breeze and feel like being transported to places in the icy Himalayas.
