An ode to our robot overlords, pulverized back into the cosmic dust from whence they came, many thousands of years in the future. Humans may no longer be around on that day, so we recorded this eulogy in advance. This track was sorta half-baked anyway when first released in 2009 - now it's even more done. Sorry my Latin is rusty. Best listened to in the dark.

Paste began as a collaboration between Peter Miles (Record Producer Extraordinaire) and Ren Aldridge (Petrol Girls). Pete wanted to return to writing and performing music, having spent the past 10 years concentrating solely on production. He currently runs Middle Farm studios in Devon. Ren writes and performs vocals in a couple of bands/ projects, writes and makes art, often involving words: from large scale text sculptures to textile poems; performances to participatory projects like zines and street harassment mapping. Her music and art often connect with activism she’s involved with. This track marked the start of their collaboration, combining Ren's art and vocals with Pete's writing, recording and producing.

We Might Be came from a performance piece by Clémence Roudil: The Principle of the Crowd. Ren took part in one of the performances which involved a number of people reading parts of a script simultaneously. Clémence’s script is put together from all of the sentences written about women in The King Kong Theory - a book by french feminist writer and film maker Virginie Despentes - with the sentences altered to begin with ‘We Might Be.’ Clémence agreed to a collaboration, allowing Ren to use the script for a future project. Ren then edited down a version of the script to record as spoken word over Pete’s music. This is the first track of a four track EP and ongoing multimedia art project due for release later in the year.
