Section expands the already diverse sonic range of the label by pairing soundscapes from the genesis of the genre with production techniques taken from the present day.

Old High continues to explore brooding soundscapes and twisted breaks. Layered kicks, 808s, and bass stabs produce a weighty and hypnotic head-bobbing rhythm reminiscent of early Metalheadz and Renegade Hardware releases.

Over the course of four tracks, Section provides four timeless cuts spanning jungle, techstep, and minimal drum and bass inspired by raw, oldschool influences.

SECTION- OLD HIGH

The 'Angry Animals' trilogy as presented by the supreme talent Shodan comes to a conclusion with the 'Bias Disorder' EP - Like the previous parts of this series, Shodan showcases his production wizardry and songwriting skills in four more tracks, including a collaboration with Detached Audio alumni Hex.

The title track 'Bias Disorder' paves the way with an epic introduction which leads to a barrage of brutal basslines and breaks; this is Shodan at his nastiest while also displaying a perfect balance of light and dark. 'Futureproof' follows this up - this track showcases a more modern take on Shodan's sound while still providing the weight and funk that can get any dancefloor grooving.

We've seen Shodan team up with Hex and slay down on Four Corners Music with 'Battle Cry', and now they rejoin forces for 'The Black Between The Stars' - a mysterious intro leads the way for an eerie, off-beat Drum & Bass smasher, once again proving how well their sounds fuse together. Finally, the trilogy ends with 'Lazer Raptors' which sees Shodan go down a jump-up direction for a three minute onslaught of aggressive basses and drums, and serves as a perfect way to wrap up the epic journey that Shodan has gone through with us through his 3 part series of EPs.

Track started in my 'liquid era', circa April 2023. Back when I had the courage to write for the Piano.
Somewhat a followup to City Streets - this was made in the same era.

Collection of Liquid Drum & Bass works from 2021~2024.
This album is a testament to almost 4 years of producing, while still not finding what I truly enjoy making. Perhaps, one could say I'm lost. But at the same time, I've been lost forever yet I've never felt like it was truly a problem. So Let's hope the next few years are equally filled with both ups and downs - I think this is what makes my life so interesting.
Liquid DnB has been a great genre to produce over the years, with inspiration by Makoto, LSB, Harry Shotta, and many more. While being a genre I sometimes consider as 'lazy' or 'uninspired', I still think it's one of the widest subgenres of drum & bass, considering the range of instruments---both synthetic and acoustic---which can be used.

The cover artwork and video visuals are a love letter to my magnificent country and region - the French Alps, and showcase something I really enjoy: taking deep breaths outside through driving, hiking or cycling. The photo was taken in 2023 during a bivouac and is the westside of Taillefer from the Plateau des Lacs, and various videos were taken from 2021 to today on various trips and hikes, by car, foot or bicycle.
